"No, it's perfectly fine. You don't need to do anything," Max said quickly, still fiddling with his fingers.
“If you’re sure,” August responded. “Anyways, where were you rushing too? I have a free period, so I’m not really going anywhere.”
"Tell me a bit about yourself?" She asked, slowly getting more used to the change of terrain.
"Like what?" she asked, doing quick touches on the ball a few feet away.

"No, it's perfectly fine. You don't need to do anything," Max said quickly, still fiddling with his fingers.
“If you’re sure,” August responded. “Anyways, where were you rushing too? I have a free period, so I’m not really going anywhere.”
"I just wanted to get my homework done early," Max answered. "Also, where were you rushing?"
"Little things, big things, whatever you want. I do have my other of two questions from earlier, what's your favorite flower?"
"Tiger lilies!" she answered quickly. "They're so beautiful and vibrant…"
"It's the symbol of wealth and pride. Correlates with the number nine in numerology, the number for creative expression." A nodded. "It's an amazing flower."
She stopped, missing the ball, and blinked. "You know that? You're smart."
A seemed to find that hilarious, and had to pause to catch her breath from laughing. "My dad is a florist and an herbalist. I grew up hearing about the properties and meanings of plants. I'm even named after a plant."
"Amaryllis, actually." She turned, pointing out the flowers tattooed across her left shoulder.
"That's so cool!" she said, admiring the tattoos. "I'm named after a candy…"
"Hey, candy is good! I actually think I have some Reese's Pieces in my bag…" She glanced over at where she had left her bag and coat. "Must be fate!"
"Must be," she replied slowly. She tied her hair up into a tight ponytail.
"Ready t' show me watcha got, hot stuff?"
Reese turned pink. "S-Sure…" she stammered shyly.
"You're cute when you're flustered. Bet you look even better kicking ass on the field." Her eyes sparked with mischief.
"I'm not cute…" Reese said quietly, taking a couple balls out of the wagon.
Reese shook her head and fired a shot into the cage. It hit the backboard with a loud crack.
A. let out a low whistle. "Fine, I take the cute back, that's /hot/."
Reese took another shot. This time, she chipped the ball and it soared into the net.
Reese blushed. "It wasn't that good…"
"You downplay yourself too much. I happen to think it was great!" She smiled brightly at Reese.
