She chuckled and looked at Karma. "Well, what do you want me to do?"
She chuckled and looked at Karma. "Well, what do you want me to do?"
"Prove that you're more of a nerd than I am. Good luck, I throw around references like they're nothing." She laughed, finally putting her brush now and tossing her hair over her shoulder.
She laughed and glanced at her. "Nice to know, Daughter of…..Athena?"
"Athena didn't have children. She was one of only three virgin goddesses." God you're such a dork. Yes thank you for your input.
Cyrus smiles faintly. "Take care love. I know you'll be amazing." He says quietly.
“As will you” He says and smiles, “twenty minutes til showtime ladies and gentlemen” he carefully climbs down the ladder from the trapeze
"But she did have children in the Percy Jackson and The Heroes Of Olympus series. Also, the other two virgin goddesses were Artemis and Hestia." Why does her being a dork make her so much cuter?
"While that is true, Percy Jackson is not based on pure Greek mythology. But now I must ask, if you know that, who was Athena's Roman counterpart?" Minerva, the woman who shares the name with your favorite Hogwarts professor. Yes I'm well aware of that.
"Easy, Minerva. There's also a professor in Hogwarts named Minerva McGonagall." She answered.
"Ding ding ding! Wow, you're dorkier than I thought." Which somehow makes you 10 times cuter. Oh my god just kiss already!
Oh my god just kiss already!
(That's me rn)
"Told you." Why is she so cute? This isn't good for me.
Rei let out a puff of air, still practicing alternating between his hands and feet while going across the rope. A few times, he had nearly fallen, but quickly got back up. "Already only twenty minutes?" He said, his voice quiet.
She looked out at the main tent, people were already starting to gather. "From the number of people, I can say we've got like 20 minutes before showtime." She sighed. "I don't wanna go back out there. But the show must go on." She smiled at Alice. "You stay here and relax, I actually got the best view out of all the tents." Do it. If this goes horribly, I'm blaming you. She leaned down and kissed Alice quickly. "See you after the show." She winked and walked back into the main tent.
Silk unbent herself and walked over, leaning on a wooded pole near the crowd. Far away enough to where she could avoid them, but still hear the conversation.
Alice just stayed where she was, frozen for a few seconds. After those few moments, she was blushing furiously as she hid her face in her hands. Did she just kiss me? Are you serious? What made her kiss me? Why would someone even like me? I'm so confused. She thought, trying to make herself believe that just happened.
Rei's gaze floated over to the seats. There were already people gathering, filling the rows in scattered clusters. He quickly put on the sheer white blindfold that he had in his pocket, which was just thick enough to hide his oddly colored eyes. Ever since he was a child, Rei had been embarrassed of his eyes; despite really liking their color and slitted pupil shape. Climbing down from the tightrope, the blue-haired boy stood near the "walls" of the tent. There are too many people for me to keep practicing up there. He thought, deciding to kill time by stretching.
She smiled confidently to herself, tying her hair back up into the braid she'd made it earlier. Time to get back to work, as much as I don't want to.
Please tell me that was real. She finally managed to stop blushing furiously and walked over to a space where she could have a clear view of the stage.
She scanned the audience, looking over faces both familiar and not until she reached the three she was looking for. Her mother, father, and younger brother. Her father looked tired, her mother distressed, but Cole? Cole looked excited, looking at her with wonder and amazement but sadly lacked the recognition that she saw him with. After she'd been selected for the circus when she was only 18, her brother had been 8, they wiped his memory of her and swore her parents not to say anything or else all three of them would be killed. She looked into the eyes of her parents and saw the overwhelming pain and sadness from watching their only daughter be turned into a slave for the circus.
Arthur looks across the ring, spotting the mistress on the middle of the crowd, he usually is the one to start the show and she comes to the ring in the middle of the performances. He looks out at everyone else.
Silk drove her eyes boredly across the crowd. Which one would Mistress make her Bend? Hopefully not a child. They were too easy. She hoped it was a strong-willed teenager. Maybe she could have them sing. She loved to make her victims sing.
Rei had noticed, too, the Mistress's position in the center of the crowd. He had mainly spotted her due to her unusually long black hair, and of course, her whip. He directed his gaze to the others, noticing that among the performers that were scattered underneath of the tent, most of them were gazing out into the crowd as well.
Karma forced her gaze away from her own family and scanned the crowd again before heading back to her starting position near the back of the stage. You know he'll make you pick a volunteer. You know Mistress will hate it if you pick Cole. What kind of sister would I be if I didn't pick him on his birthday?
Arthur clears his ghosts after the Mistress nods to him, “in positions, all” he says as he climbs to his hoop to begin the show
Silk walked over to her pole. It was lined up in the second act position, since her act was rather… different. Though Silk thought her act should be last, as she stretched out her arms near the dimmed area.
(Haa, I'm going to be a bit confused during the beginning of this part, I can already tell.)
