Tealle was startled as it started to talk and backed up.

Mihala fainted on the spot. Teri smirked, remembering other prophecies she had partook in.

Phoebe was listening to the prophecy, eyes wide. There hadn't been a prophecy at Camp for a while now. At least not important ones. She crossed her arms as she listened, swallowing.

Kaden was listening nearby, his back stiffening. Nine demigods. That was practically a monster buffet. And if Alex was chosen to go…. He would tear apart the world to keep his little sister safe.

Elizabeth gripped her sketchbook tightly, so much that her fingers started turning white. She has heard from other campers who were here for ages, talk about soemthing like this. And people die in situations like this. Elizabeth didn’t want to die, not now.

Ryker stoods there in the silence. The oracle seemed to be happy with the company, and continued. "Opposites together will find the key…" she said in her raspy voice. Ryler had no idea what that meant. Opposites?
"Together they stand, alone they fall…" Now this was freaking him out. Were prophecies always this… open-ended and dangerous?

The oracle continues.
"Magic and water to overcome all

One will forever be in bars
Lost will be a child of the sun

That last line made him stiffen. Some turned to none… What could that mean? He turned t the people behind him, and realized they were all people he had met before.

Ryker stares at them all, and they stared back. “Gods, do- do you guys have any idea what that meant?” he asked. None of them did anything. “I’ll take that as a no. We need Chiron, now.”
