"Well, I refuse to do it. Allah is the only true God, your gods are posers." Mihala replied defensivly.

Phoebe heard a commotion and walked over. "We don't impose on anyone's religions. You can still worship your God here. But we give a sacrifice to our parents, the Greek gods, as a thank you. What that thank you is for, we're not sure. But we don't it so we don't get blast out of the sky."

"Then our parents are whiny brats. Why do we need to die because we believe in a caring God, not a destructive one?"

Teri shoveled some of Mihala's food into the blaze. "There, now you won't have to do a hail mary or whatever you do to pay penance."

"Offense taken. I'm not Catholic!"

Mihala skulked off. She sat by her siblings, who were rowdy and exited.

Teri sat down by Chiron. She said, "I need a break. Go fish?"

Elizabeth started sketching as she ate, she was careful to not get any sauce on her paper. The outside world around her dissolved with each line she put on her paper.

Five minutes later, Teri had lost horribly. She sat down by her Hecate half sibs and sulked.

Mihala got up and walked over to Liz (Can I call her Liz?) and sat down. "Hey, what's that?" she said, pointing at the sketch.

Elizabeth looked up, “What? What… oh. Oh. Well, this is…this will be a sad girl with antlers. It’s a drawing prompt.”

"Oh. Why is she sad?"

“She’s different, she has antlers. She’s lonely. She’s the only one with antlers in her world.” Elizabeth explained, pushing her finished plate away.

"Well, different is good. But humanity is cruel. America seems to hate Islam."

"I can relate, in a way. I guess."

“Humanity is cruel. Most of America probably does hate Islam… but that’s just out of fear. A lot of times, the root of hate is fear.”

"But we are not terrorists. We do not cause fear, humanity just presumes that we will all pull out a gun and start to shoot everyone."

“Yes, and that’s where humanity is cruel. Just because one or more people do it, they immediately assume all does it. Cruel humanity.”
