Mihala walked around the cave, trying to find something to do when she stopped. What if no one finds me? she thought. Mihala collapsed on the ground, those words flowing through her head. The tears started to flow down her face. She knew she was stuck in this cave. There was no way out.
“So when are we saving Mihala?” Elizabeth asked.
"It would probably be better to do it now," Teri sighed, "Than never."
“Let’s go then!” Elizabeth said, she had adrenaline now. What a weird time to have adrenaline.
"Yeah!" Teri shouted along with. Her blood was pumping.
~~~~~
"Yeah," Wendi weakly cheered. She was scared out of her mind.
Kaden stared down at the two girls and sighed quietly. He unsheathed his sword and held it tight in his hand. He outstretched his other one towards Elizabeth.
Wendi shakily got up. She really didn't want to do this.
Alex began to walk and saw Wendi standing reluctantly "Hey" Alex said "I know this may be a stupid question and you may have already answered it, but how did you end up in the Labyrinth and how long have you been here?"
"I don't remember," Wendi responded, "And maybe a month. At least I think so."
"Hmm. What year did you go missing? Im only asking because time works different in the Labyrinth and a month for you could have been a year or a day for us"
"2018," Wendi responded, "It was 2018."
"What month. and it was 2018 when we left too so dont worry"
(What month is it currently for them?)
(uhh maybe May? does that work?)
(Yeah it does.)
"I think it was March or maybe April. I was with my tribe and then I wasn't," Wendi teared up, "I'm so scared."
"Hey, hey its ok. Your with us and we can keep you safe" Alex said going to the girls side wondering if she should give her a hug or not
"I've heard that before," Wendi backed away, "You're going to hurt me."
"No we wont hurt you I promise" (Is it ok if i get your advice on something?)
(Sure what?)
"How do I know that?" Wendi continued to back away.
(Its a school advanced lit lab project and i need to know which one to turn in) "Do you know what is the most binding of swears in ancient greek mythology? its the swear on the river styx. That will bind you to the oath and if you break it you will die"
(Well what are the options?)
"And why are you telling me this?" Wendi hadn't heard this before.
"Because I swear on the river styx that I, we will do you no harm" Alex said and thunder rumbled
(Its a horror fiction writing thing. Here's the first one: Skin freezing crystallizing, eyes drying and bloody. Hooks with meat and hair hanging. Finger-less hands and nailless fingers littered the shelves. Everything cold, unforgiving in the green basement. All memorabilia or souvenirs of time out of town. Operation table covered in blood with a young girl laying bound,dissected upon it. Only a few hours ago she was laughing, screaming, begging. The pale girl at the entrance turned and went through the kitchen, hallway. Into the bathroom, washing off the blood. Walking to the living room she said to her parents, “Did we have to kill her? She was nice”)
Wendi slightly jumped at the loud thunder, but she felt a wave of reassurance come over her, "Oh."
(second one: There are things in the dark, things that you can never see. You will only hear murmurs in the still air “bewhere” .They lurk in the hall, under the bed, in the closet, and behind the curtain. You can check under your bed with a light but all you will see is black tendrils recoiling from the illumination. Lay in your bed, not opening your eyes, for fear of what might be there. You wait to fall asleep; all limbs under the covers. Sleep will not keep them at bay and you know it isn’t nice to keep them waiting.)
