Kaden stopped and stared at her. He opened his mouth then closed it, then opened it again. Then closed it. He sighed. "Just follow the numbers until you find out room number."

“What was our room number?”

He face palmed. "Just follow me and don't get lost."

“That I can do.”

"It also means I'm stable enough to fight," he unsheathed his knife and twirled it in his hand.

He kept his hand on her, just in case. He followed the signs to find where their rooms were.

Phoebe clenched her jaw. "Fine, but I get a kiss just in case you die. You're not allowed to die without kissing me first."

Ryker smiled and shook his head. "I'm not going to die," he reassured. "C'mon, we need to find the others,"

She gaped. She narrowed her eyes. "I still think I deserve a kiss. I have to put up with you."
