Lavender took another bite, wiping the maple syrup off her chin and nodding. Strudel clambered clumsily onto her head, eyes still not fully open.
Lavender took another bite, wiping the maple syrup off her chin and nodding. Strudel clambered clumsily onto her head, eyes still not fully open.
"Don't let her fall," he said out loud, trying his best to keep the worry out of his voice and expression. His hands sparked.
Lavender made a quick side-braid from her hair, tucking the tiny, soft-scaled baby dragon between the strands snuggly. Let’s go.
He nodded, leading her down the hall. Where exactly did you see her?
Lavender grabbed his hand, pulling him back a little since he’d walked too far. Right here.
He tensed, pulling his hand away and looking around. What was her name?
Maudie., Lavender told him. Sorry., she added.
What are you sorry for? He thought, then spoke out loud. "Maudie? Are you here?"
Nothing happened. You tensed up after I touched you. I assume you don’t like physical contact.
(Btw, feel free to do whatever you want with Maudie, you have unlimited control over her, I kinda just made her up for this rp)
(okay, got it)
it's fine, I just wasn't expecting it. I live in isolation back home. "Maudie?" He called again, voice louder this time.
"Yes?" a girl's voice answered weakly. He spun around to face her.
Lavender whirled around, smiling when she saw Maudie. “Hi, Maudie. Remember me?” Maudie thought for a moment, wisps of blonde hair floating around her face as if she was underwater. “You’re the one who asked for the rooms a while back, right?”, she said faintly, looking pleased with herself. “And who are you?”, she asked Asura with obvious disdain, wrinkling her nose.
Asura stepped back, as if to give her space. "I'm Asura," he said, leaving out that he was a God and a demon king. He knows that telling people that never does him much good. "We have a few questions for you, if you don't mind."
Maudie crossed her arms, pouting like a petulant child. "And if I don't want too?"
Asura inhaled through his nose slowly, keeping irritation out of his expression and voice. "It's always up to you. We just had some ideas, and we think that we might be able to help everybody here, but not without your cooperation."
Maudie tilted her head to the side, pitch black eyes staring at themm unnervingly. "What do I get in return?", she asked, skipping circles around Lavender and Asura, her feet floating above the ground.
"Well, it depends on who–or what– exactly you are," he said. "Mozos had an idea that you might be the soul of the dimensional key that's used to get in and out of this realm."
Crap, what if the Hand hears you?, Lavender conveyed frantically. "Is that so?" Maudie raised an eyebrow. "I feel… used." She glaredat them sulkily. "I'll cut you a deal. If you can survive some fun games, I'll tell you how to get out!" The ghost clapped her hands together, shifting character abruptly.
It doesn't matter, no god can control the soul of a dimensional key, and he doesn't know of your plans to hack the security cameras, so we'll be okay, he thought, not knowing if he was right or not. "Sounds interesting," he replied to Maudie.
The ghost girl grinned, a malicious light in her eyes, reminding Lavender of twin voids, abysses. "The rules: As you know, you can't die in here. Master would revive you." Three glowing, green holographic dots appeared above Lavender and Asura's heads. "Each time you 'die' and are revived, you fail a challenge and lose a point. If one of you loses all thre points, the deal is off. If you pass the challenges, I'll give you the information you need. You are allowed to ask for clues, but you lose a point each time you do." Maudie spun on the spot. "Oh, and one more thing." She licked her lips hungrily. "If you loose, I get to name any prize I want. The prize I'm considering right now is….." Maudie pointed to baby Strudel with a long finger, who was napping in Lavender's hair. "I get hungry every millenium or so. The dragon would be a tasty snack."
Asura's eyes narrowed. Even though Strudel was born only that day, he had already grown attached to her, as well as Lavender. "It's a deal," he said, knowing that even if he lost, he would not let Strudel suffer for it. "But if–no–when I win, you must answer every question that we ask completely honestly."
(is it way too late to join or…?)
Lavender nudged him. "He means when we win." Maudie sighed. "Fine, fine." She held out her hand to shake, and Lavender reached forward tentatively.

not at all! go ahead :)
Asura stared at her hand for a few seconds, not wanting to shake her hand. However, after a moment, he sighed and shook her hand.
Maudie's hand became suddenly substantial, and her whole body began to glow, her fingernails drawing blood on both of their hands. She smiled wickedly, letting them go and doing a twirl in mid-air. "This is going to be fun!"
