Just then, something small burst from the egg, spraying slime everywhere. Din’t make A single sound!, Lavender thought at Asura, carefully but quickly cupping her hands around the tiny, soft-scaled Dino and bringing in to her face, cooing softly.
(is this when I pick up the eggshells?)
Asura waved his hand, his golden aura shimmering and wrapped around the eggshells, lifting them up in the air. They swirled into a piled in his hand, and he flattened himself to the ground.
Lavender was shocked to the core when she saw the tiny auquilops spread wings, but she quickly shrugged it off as it made a gurgling sound back to her. She let it sniff her, climb onto her shoulder, and dribble spit all over her shoulder, as was custom. A few minutes later, she and Asura were sitting in the bed while a tiny little dragon slept, curled up on her lap.
He flopped over on his back, letting out a loud sigh. "Well that was interesting," he said.
“She’s not supposed to have wings.”, Lavender blurted out.
He frowned, glancing over. "Is it a bad thing that she does?"
“It’s pitebtially dangerous. We were introducing dragon genes into the Dino’s slowly, genetic tampering with magic is incredibly frail. The Dino only has about 22% dragon in her, it’s nit possible for her to have wings!”
"Well, obviously, it is possible," he said, gesturing to the sleeping hybrid.
“There— there must have been a mistake, she could have too much magic, we don’t know what powers she has, this is bad.”
"Not if she's stuck here," he pointed out, rolling onto his side. "Look, just keep a close eye on her, and don't worry about it too much."
Lavender but her lip, stroking the tiny dragon. “She needs a name.”
"I don't know how to name Dragons," he said with a laugh. "So that's on you, unless you're cool with naming it Oreo, Strudel or something like that."
“Strudel’s cute.”, Lavender smiled.
(lol that's my cat's name)
"Oh," Asura said, a bit surprised. "Thanks, I guess?"
Strudel yawned, rolling over and exposing her sandy stomach, which Lavender tickled.
(Lol)
Asura chuckled at the cute dragon. "Do we have the resources to take care of her?"
“She’s an omnivore, I think.”, Lavender yawned, smiling at the sight of Strudel’s jewel blue eye opening curiously.
"Well, okay, but that's just food. Is there a certain habitat she needs? Because I've never raised a dragon thing before, so I'm not sure."
“Don’t call her thing.”, she said sharply. “Sorry. She’ll need a relatively warm, marshy environment. I can produce that.”
He glared. "I know she's not a thing, she's a living, breathing creature. I just don't know what to call her species."
“Dragon. Or Auquilops. Whichever.”
He nodded. "So how are you going to produce your dragon habitat?"
Lavender pointed to a box in her bed. “That’s a magically enhanced 3D printer. I have all the data I need.”
