Laura noticed that Acacia had sat with some of the popular girls. She'd thought about waving, but that was out of the question. Taylor sat at that table.
Laura noticed that Acacia had sat with some of the popular girls. She'd thought about waving, but that was out of the question. Taylor sat at that table.
Kai followed Laura's gaze, and had no qualms about waving, shooting a wink at Taylor as she did so.
Acacia waved back over to Kai and Laura before one of the other girls pulled her into the conversation. She wasn't quite sure why Laura was being shy while Kai was being upfront. Actually that meant sense.
"Oh my God, isn't she such a bitch?" Taylor asked, pointing clearly at Laura.
Of course, all the popular girls agreed.
"What do you think, Acacia?" Taylor asked her directly, giving her a sharp look.
Acacia shrugged as she looked over at them, "I mean, there's no evidence against it."
The girls whooped in agreement, and Taylor smirked.
Laura saw the girls looking their way, including Acacia. She quickly looked at something on her phone.
Kai bumped Laura gently with her shoulder, before laying her head back down. "Ignore them. Jealousy is an ugly color that don't go with Prada knock-offs." She said the last sentence loud enough for them to hear.
The populars all murmured together, casting sharp glanced their way. Eventually, Taylor hushed them all and stood up. She slowly walked over and stood behind Laura. The shy girl froze. Taylor bend down to speak directly into her ear. "Got a problem, bitch?"
Laura didn't reply.
"Hey, I'm talking to you," Taylor snarled and grabbed her shoulder.
"Actually." Kai spoke, lifting her head slowly. "She didn't say nothin'. I did. Now if you don't let her go, I might just be getting suspended."
"I can live with your dumb choices," Taylor spat back.
Laura looked over. "Kai, don't," she whispered.
"See, listen to her," Taylor said, arching her eyebrows challengingly.
Kai didn't look at Laura, just stood, grabbing Taylor's wrist and removing it from Laura's shoulder. There was a scary glint in her eyes as she smiled. "Careful. Wouldn't want your groupies t' watch you get your ass beat now would ya?"
Taylor's confident façade melted quickly. She looked terrified of Kai.
"Didn't think so." She sat back down and yawned. "Go run along. I really don't like your face."
Taylor glared and headed back over to her table. Laura kept her head down.
((imma disappear for just a bit
"You good?" Kai asked, pulling a protein shake from her bag.
Lilly ran into the lunch room and collapsed near Laura and Kai. "I officially hate math." She said in greeting
"Oh mood."
"Why is taylor giving our table a dirty look?" She asked, taking out her sketchbook and working on a hidden projects, a logo for their band.
"I scared the shit out of her twice today." Kai replied, chugging half of the protein shake before flopping her head back on the table.
Lilly made a face at the shake "how can you swallow that nasty stuff?"
"I'm an athlete. It balances out the amount of caffeine I drink."
She shrugged "makes sense." She said
"Plus, they taste good."
Acacia let out a long sigh, Laura caused drama so often and intentionally it hurt to watch. She debated just leaving the girls, but knew a lot of them had ties with her parents and would more likely than not tell them about this.
(I think you mean Taylor, not Laura. My bean is innocent…)
Laura looked up at Lilly's arrival. "Hi."
