(What about Mamma Mia though… Hairspray even…?)
I love mamma Mia (haven’t watched it in forever tho I need too), but Nigel isn’t a huge fan. Doesn’t mind it, just doesn’t think it’s exceptional. I have never listened to hairspray
(MAMMA MIA: HERE I GO AGAIN was actually pretty great too minus Cher. Didn't care for her much)
(I feel that Rei would like the soundtrack a lot)
(@SaltyLasagna your character is so cool!)

(If this is still open, could I join?)
YES HERE WE GO XD
Lucky let out a sigh as he hopped out of his step-dads old pick up truck. It had been a miracle that they had even got there in one piece considering the fact that they had to pull over to check the engine so many times before they even got on the highway. The blonde looked up at the gigantic school building, his pale, calloused hands pulling at the red, cotton material of his sweater sleeve.
"Here you go buddy, I got all of your stuff out, now you just gotta find your dorm." The teen nodded, giving his step-father a hug before grabbing his suitcase and running into the building, following the sign that read 'DORMS'.
"Thanks for the ride dad-" He yelled looking back to the man who was now leaning against the hood of the truck, "See you at family week!"
He had just arrived, and he could tell it was going to be a good year.
( This is super rushed because I'm trying to do my Algebra, Geometry and history homework at the same time, and study for my bio test retake.)
(Oof)
Anthony was pulled into a bear hug by his shorter mother, "Oh, mi hijo. I'm going to miss you."
"There's always visitation week Mama," Anthony laughed pulling away from her to help his dad with his things.
"But it's so far away," his mother complained.
"He's a young man now honey," his father grabbed his mom's shoulder, "He'll be just fine."
"Of course," his mother nodded swiftly, "Get good grades. Don't skip class. And make plenty of friends."
"I will Mama!" Anthony chuckled.
"See you during family week," his father said leading his mom back to the car.
"Adios Papa! Adios Mama!"
(oof I'm sorry)
Rei had already begun to wander the hallway with dorm rooms lining both sides. Sighing, the blonde felt relieved at finding her dorm. It seemed whoever would share the room wasn't there yet. Smiling happily, she pulled her spotted suitcase behind her. The rooms were fairly spacious, two beds, a bathroom, a small living room, and a large window, this one having a window seat looking out into the world. The short girl already felt things would work out. Even if it was away from home…
She had just come in after a long tearful hug from her adoptive father. He hadn't liked the idea of not seeing his little girl every day anymore, but would be able to deal. Setting her luggage on her bed, she unzipped it and began to pull out the sky blue sheets along with her darker colored comforter. Her father had also given her decorative pillows to match.
Rei huffed and started to make the bed. Moving the suitcase, she pulled the fitted sheet on first. She had some struggles with it, having to lay across the mattress to keep the bottom corners still. After that, the rest was simple.
Admiring her work, she supposed there was the rest of her things to unpack. The small female didn't feel like doing so quite yet, despite there being two closets in the room. It could wait.
(it's great dw!)
Nigel smothered a wince as his father hugged him goodbye, forcing himself to squeeze back and plaster a smile on his face when he ruffled his hair. "See you at family week." He wasn't sure whether his dad was really bad at faking emotion, or terrible at showing emotion without making it seem fake, but either way, it made him uncomfortable. "Bye, Dad." Nigel waved goodbye as he shouldered his backpack and began pulling his compact suitcase and cello (on wheels) towards where he hoped the dorms were.
As soon as his father was out of earshot, he breathed a relieved sigh, pausing to look up at what would be his home for the next ten months. It was huge, much larger than any of the previous schools he'd attended, and strangely much more welcoming. At least he'd be somewhat sheltered here, at least he didn't have to back home everyday and experience the weight settling on his shoulders every time he turned the key of at his front door.
Shrugging the backpack higher on his shoulders, he double-checked his dorm room number, took a deep breath, and went to find his new home.
Yuri kept silent as her mom drove her to the boarding school.
"Are you excited, Yuri?" her mom asked with a smile appearing at the corners of her mouth. Yuri didn't respond she just shrugged. Yuri was so angry that her mom made her transfer to this boarding school. She made Yuri leave her old friend to make "new friends". Yuri already felt out of place. Yuri's head was turned out of the passenger's window. Yuri's mom stopped the car and pulled out the keys. "Were here!" she exclaimed. Yuri's head turned to the left and her eyes landed on a red bricked building. Yay another jail… Yuri thought. She hopped out of her silver focus and clutched her two black duffel bags and started walking into the building.
"Wait, Yuri!" Her mom rushed out of the car and spread out her arms. Yuri might have been irritated that she had to go here, and she might have been angry at her mom at the moment, but she knew she would miss her mom as soon as she was left here alone. Yuri dropped her bags and ran to her mom to hug her. Her mom's arms wrapped around her. They were warm and loving, Yuri knew she would miss this.
"I'll see you during family week," her mom whispered to her. Yuri just nodded back. She turned around and grasped her bags once more and strolled into the building without looking back.
//hey, Iris, how tall is REI?
Name: Anastasia (ana) Richard

Dorm Number: whatever's open
Gender: female
Sexuality: lesbian
Appearance: tan, frizzy, black hair that's usually up. Dark brown eyes. Scar on her forehead. Some small scars on her legs and arms.
Clothing: dresses that go down to her knees.
Personality: always tries to just blend in and act happy. Never let's anyone know what's wrong. If someone tries to push about anything personal she shuts down. She won't talk to them and will just completely ignore them.
Anthony rolled his suitcase through the welcoming halls. Final year of high school, and he was at a boarding school. It shouldn't be that hard. He kept in mind his dorm number and found it quickly. He took a deep breath and walked in.
//hey, Iris, how tall is REI?
//nvm I just checked and I’m dying Kirin is like nearly a foot taller than her??
also I’ll type up my thing in a moment, sorry
After struggling to drag his suitcase and cello up several flights of stairs, Nigel finally sound his dorm room. In case his roommate was already inside, he quickly straightened his collar, fixed his hair, and wiped a few beads of sweat off his forehead. Rummaging around for his key, he took a deep breath. My roommate had better be a decent person., he thought, before realizing the door was already unlocked and opening it.
(His roommate's Anthony, I think)
(wait Nigel just walked into his dorm room @mark, so can we just say he didn't see Lucky?
Ana walked into the school with her suitcase. She tried to keep a smile on her face. She had mixed feeling about being here and had no use what she was doing. She was told her dorm number and schedule but that was about it. (what down is open?)
Jordan yanked his suitcase out of the back of his father's truck, mumbling a quiet and unenthusiastic "goodbye" as he hurried through the school doors. He didn't glance back as he heard the truck speed off, its engine roaring for a moment as it tore away from the school. He let out a breath, letting himself relax a bit as he set forward to find his dorm. He didn't have to worry about his father right now. He was gone until next weekend, and that was good. That meant he was free, at least for a little while.
(wait Nigel just walked into his dorm room @mark, so can we just say he didn't see Lucky?
yeh, that's what I was planning anyway xD
(He is.)
Anthony looked to the door when he had heard the door opening. He spotted the shorter male and gave a quick smile. He then stopped his unpacking and walked over to him, "I'm guessing your my roommate? My name's Anthony, what's yours?"
(btw I'm going to change part of Jordan's appearance bc I copied it from a different RP where he was actually older and had top surgery, but since he's only 17 in this RP and has a very unaccepting family he hasn't gotten to do that yet so he's still going to be binding
not too important but I thought I'd throw it out there bc it says he has top surgery scars in his character form)
(ooh cool)
Nigel looked his roommate over. "I'm Nigel, and I sure hope I'm your roommate or that would make for one embarrassing first day on school grounds." He looked like a nice person, although it was usually hard to tell. Setting down his bag and leaning his cello against the wall, he offered him a friendly smile.
Finley heaved a sigh as the taxicab finally pulled up to the front of large building, the place he would be spending his next year and a half until graduation. "Thank you," Finley nodded out a polite comment before getting out of the cab and retrieved his suitcases from the back. He clenched his jaw as he spotted other kids being dropped off by their families, reminding him of the one thing he no longer had, foever gone…. I'm all alone now… Finley forcibly held back the tears welling to his eyes before waving a goodbye to the taxi driver and ascending the steps to the school. He slowly found his way around the school before promptly getting lost while trying to find the dorms. In a fit of frustration and exhaustion, Finley let out an angry growl before plopping himself on the floor, his bags leaning against the nearby wall.
