Akari sighed internally, slightly flipping through the notepad to a previously written reply 'I'm named after my great grandfather, he himself was Japanese. My mum held the name dearly. I'm sorry if you were confused it occurs quite frequently'.
"Oh no that's fine!" Eva smiled, "I just found it interesting that's all. You don't see a whole ton of Australians sporting a name like yours."
He nodded slightly before he felt rustling in his pocket. He lightly placed his hand to the opening where the small porcupine crawled onto his hand before raising it to his head. Where the porcupine made itself at home, his lips twitched upwards slightly before going back to their original position. 'So are you all reenacting the beetles or?' he rose cocked a brow slightly.
Eva laughed a little, "I guess. Pero we're actually just a bunch of kids with instruments."
(Is this still open as hell?)
Akari nodded lightly, actually quite amused with the statement 'I can understand that, i believe i learned how to play the saxophone.' He lightly traced the scar on his across his nose as he usually does while thinking about or trying to remember something.
((I think so but i'd ask the chat owner
"The saxophone? That's awesome," Eva said brightly, "I think there's one around here. Do you think you could play for us?"
Akari waited a second before nodding 'I'd need someone to hold Wombat for me' he scribbled down.
"Wombat? Who's wombat?" Eva asked as she looked around for the saxophone.
Akari pointed to the porcupine that had been sitting in his hair like it was a fluffy nest.
"Oh," Eva smiled bringing over the saxophone case to Akari, "I can take him for you."
((Oof sorry it's actually an Echidna, which is just an Australian porcupine
Akari took the case in his opposite hand. Placing the Echidna on the table for Eva to look after. He set the case down before clicking it open and beginning to assemble the Saxophone.
Eva was in awe of the little spikey furry creature. There wasn’t anything like this back home.
Akari sat on the table pondering what to play before deciding to fit what the other boy seemed to be playing. He hoisted the saxophone up before he started to play 'Blackbird' by the beetles. His actions being a bit more tense but not other all disrupting the flow of the music.
The boy seemed tense, but he played amazingly! Eva was grinng bobbing to the head while she listened along.
Akari drew the instrument down before realizing 'sh*t did i ignore someone-stupid-' he shook his head coughing slightly. While internally scolding himself he didn't pay attention to his actions "Oliver, right. I'm sorry for before. It's a pleasure to meet you." he said his voice slightly gravely.
((ack- sorry @just em you're reply didn't show up for me
(you’re good!)
Oliver’s head perked up when someone called his name, and he realized it was Akari. His voice is hot. Shut up. “It’s okay. And a pleasure to meet you as well.” he said, smiling. “And I like your music taste. The Beatles are an excellent band.” he added. ’Excellent band?’ Are you a nerd or what?
Eva looked over to Akari, Dios his voice was hot. Just objectively hot. He also played really well, her heart was shot.
Meredith was enjoying the music, but she was still a little uncomfortable at the sight of so many new people. She didn't bother introducing herself Akari, instead staying in her seat next to Oliver.
Akari nodded "They are rather excellent" he glanced over the three, tilting his head slightly before closing his eyes. "none of you would happen to know where the gym is would you?' he ruffled his hair in a swift manner, looking at the Echidna that was trying to climb onto his lap.
"No clue," Eva shrugged letting Wombat go to Akari, "We should go find it together."
