(Night puff!)
(Night puff!)
(Goodnight!)
“That’s alright!” Oliver said cheerfully, and went back to strumming the same chords and humming them. They reminded him of home.
Tenlet played a simple and beautiful tune on the keyboard and winced "need to fix…tone the…the tempo…" she muttered to herself. Fixing a few of the setting she played the tune again, having it sound more beautiful and clearer than before.
Meredith swayed back and forth to the music, smiling ever so slightly. Maybe I made the right choice. This is way better than a quiet dorm room.
Robin walked out of the sound booth and stood in the doorway.
Oliver started to strum Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. It was one of his favorite songs; one of his mothers too. Quietly singing the lyrics to himself, he swung his legs back and forth on the chair.
(omgosh I love that song)
(lol me too)
((Holy Shit I loved that song growing up you have great music taste))
(lmao thanks)
Meredith recognized the song Oliver was playing and she started humming it quietly to herself. She hadn't heard the song in years, but somehow she remembered all of the lyrics.
Oliver smiled softly once he heard Meredith hum, but acted like he didn't notice and continued to strum the song.
For the first time since she left home, Meredith felt truly at peace. Something about the music echoing through the room and the slightly chilled temperature reminded her of her house back in Virginia. She smiled as she leaned back against her seat and shut her eyes.
"Should we create a song of our selves?" Tenley asked pressing random keys at this point
"That sounds fun!" Eva said looking at the others. She had switched to a guitar since it was a lot easier to play with the other instruments there.
"Do you think we're allowed to use all of these instruments? The teachers probably don't want us using them yet…" Meredith mumbled, but a small part of her did want to create a song like Tenley said.
"They havent stopped us yet!" She laughed
"That isn't reassuring…" Meredith replied, nervously watching the door.
“I’m sure we’re allowed to,” Oliver said comfortingly. “Plus, the doors weren’t locked, right?”
Meredith nodded. "I suppose that's true." She sighed as she began fiddling with her bracelets again. Stop being so paranoid. Enjoy your free time while you still can.
"You guys could play in here. It seems to be a recording studio. That is if you don't want people to her you." Robin suggested still standing in the doorway of the recording studio.
"Let the whole world hear me!" Eva said laughing, "I don't care."
"Let's decide ok a tune first then start singin based on that."
Wait…are we actually doing this? I thought Robin and Eva were joking… Meredith thought, crossing her fingers as she hoped that no one would ask her to sing.
Robin looked at them and sighed. "Ok we'll have fun doing music and stuff. I will not be joining you."
