Riverpaw closed her eyes tightly and wrapped her arms around Meun, burying her face in his shirt as she tried to keep her breathing right. Sh-she's gonna be okay…it's gonna be okay..
Riverpaw closed her eyes tightly and wrapped her arms around Meun, burying her face in his shirt as she tried to keep her breathing right. Sh-she's gonna be okay…it's gonna be okay..
Meun wrapped his arms around Riverpaw, sobbing softly as he held her tightly to his chest. He couldn't stop crying, not anymore
August felt his heart break. He hated for his friends to look that devastated. “It’s going to do okay,” he muttered, going forward to wrap his arms around the two as well.
Meun sobbed softly, his shoulders shaking as he clutched Riverpaw tightly. If only he knew some sort of healing magic that could help
Riverpaw sniffled as she used Meun's shirt to rubbed at her eyes, but it didn't help stop the tears. She let out a shaky breath, looking over her shoulder at Aspen. I-if.. she's in a-a coma…I heard th-those don't last very long. Two to four weeks at the most…right..? She then looked down at her hand, frowning in disappointment at the faint green symbol on her palm. M-my stupid magic wouldn't be strong enough to help her..
Belle simply folded her arms over her chest and sat in the chair beside the bed. Her stare was vacant, her mind anywhere but the room she was in.
August refused to cry. He still felt shaken from his earlier encounter with his sister, and this wasn’t helping, though he knew he had to stay strong for the others. “Where’s Rigel? Why isn’t he here?”
“There was a man who called the ambulance but didn’t get in. Instead he drove off.” Dr. Brown Inputted
"That must have been Rigel." he mumbled softly.
Rigel tapped his phone on his knee, chewing his lip and he tried to steady himself. Breathe in, out… Breathe in, out… Rigel tipped his head back with a sigh. What am I even doing? There was too much in Rigel’s head right now. He sucked on a cigarette, thinking about the small, yet strong, stash hidden in his bike. Getting high would definitely take the edge off, but… He had planned to be grave digging for the rest of the day and didn’t want to get caught by anyone.
Colden looked away and saw Nurse stone outside looking at him. "I'll be right back, there is someone i need to talk to." he said then walked away.
Riverpaw pulled her face away from Meun's shirt to look around the room for someplace to sit. She spotted a small futon on the other side of the room, so she tugged Meun's jacket and pointed.
He walked out into the hallway and leaned against the wall. "Stop acting like my mom."
"Sorry, but it is your fault that i act like your mom. you have been here enough times for almost all the nurses to know you."
"Well why don't you forget and leave me alone?" he asked
"Because i wanted to know when you left, and if you have been ok."
"I moved out, and haven't had the need to come to the hospital lately."
"Fine, but you could have just told me."
"Sorry, now don't you have work to do." he said then walked back into the room.
"I'm sorry. I've explained to most of you her symptoms, but i have other patients. I'll be back in a little bit to check her vitals." Dr. Brown said apologetecly
August nodded his head, crossing his arms over his chest. “Of course.” He said. His face was blank and emotionless, though inside he felt like he was breaking.
Colden looked at all of them, "hey, do you want me to go get you all coffees? or something like that." he asked
Rigel’s tears had dried and his face had lost the red puffy look by the time he parked near the hospital. He had figured he needed to take a break, anyways. Rigel steeled his face into a stony cold expression, taking out his cigarette and storing it in his bike before walking up. He entered through the door and probably looked p-ssed to anyone else. Rigel approached the receptionist and said plainly, sounding slightly on edge, “I’m here for Aspen Barnes, where is she?” He tapped his foot lightly, the only sign of the turmoil that had been egging at him all day.
Meun stood back, eventually forcing himself to look down at the floor. He hated hospitals, and was amazed he had lasted this long at this point. They tended to make him sick with the memories of seeing his twin in the hospital, on life support for weeks at a time when he would get too absorbed in his work to tend to his own needs
Riverpaw sniffled, wiping her face with the sleeves of her jacket. She grabbed Meun's hand, not saying a thing as she pulled him towards the futon sitting against one of the walls.
Meun let himself be pulled, gratefully sitting down next to her. He leaned against her a tad, his gaze still fixed on the floor
Riverpaw took a deep breath, closing her eyes again and balling her fists on her lap as she ignored the sudden itching in her arms. She'll be fine. She'll be fine..
August took a step backwards. "Uh, sure, Colden. I'm just going to get some fresh air. Yeah." He spun on his heel and walked out the door, and continued walking until he got to the staircase. He stopped for a moment, leaning against the wall, trying to decide what he was supposed to do next. There had to be something, anything he could do to save her.
Meun looked up when August left. He felt like he should chase after him, but he was worried August might not like it
(Oh my gorsh, guys, I totally found like everyone in the gang's theme song)
