"Fine, fine." August said. "But anyway, the kid who owes me. His name's Peter Shaw; he's a senior. He basically has dirt on anyone and everyone at your school. If you want him to find out if they like you, or just anything about your classmates in general, just tell him that the Evans twins are cashing in on his favor and he'll find out for you."
Riverpaw nodded, sitting against the couch again. "W-wait, I-I think I know Peter Shaw. N-not personally, but I've heard of him and seen him around the halls before. I think some people are scared of him. A-and I…didn't know he has dirt on everyone, s-so..that's good to know."
Part of her was actually considering taking August's advice, but she felt like it'd be wrong. She could handle talking to Molly and Eleena…probably.
"Well it's not everyone, but it is a lot of people. If you don't give him any reason to have blackmail on you, than he'll normally leave you alone. A lot of people do owe him favors though, because he's the type of guy who can get you what you want. It's a wonder he ended up being the one in debt to me and El."
(Had to pet sit for the neighbors. They’re cat is like a shark, he will run after you for the purpose of biting you. And I love cats, so that’s saying something)
“You’ll be cute. What would the ship name be?” Rigel mused playfully.
(oof hello, I ended up caught up in monster hunter and totally forgot about notebook loll)
Meun walked in with his refilled cup, his eyes a bit droopy as he plopped down on the floor next to August. "So what'd I miss?" he asked, his voice noticeably slurred now
"Riv likes these two girls. It's so cute." August told him. His cheeks reddened a bit at how close they were sitting.
Riverpaw raised her arms thankfully. "Meun! Look, guys, Meun's here! A-and he's drunk! Talk to him about stuff!"
“M’not drunk,” Meun protested, though it was pretty obvious he was. He had always been a lightweight. “If anyone’s drunk here, it’s August over here,” he giggled before resting his head on August’s shoulder
Rigel chuckled, sharing a look with Riverpaw, “When did those two happen?”
August stiffened before forcing himself to relax. "I'm drinking water, Meun." He said, smiling softly down at him. "I'm not drunk." He sent a glare over to Rigel, mouthing the words "shut up."
"I don't know, but they're the ones that are cute." Riverpaw mused, glad to have the subject turned from her.
"I'm always cute. Have you seen my face?" Meun giggled, looking adorable as he pointed to his cheeks. He almost dropped his drink in the process, but the resulting adorableness was worth it
August covered his red face with one of his hands. "I should probably take this," he said, reaching for Meun's drink as he tried to compose himself.
"No…" Meun whined, holding the cup away from him as best he could since the sleeves of August's jacket were well over his hands. He held it away before taking a quick gulp
Colden laughed quietly in at how drunk Meun was.
August grabbed the cup, putting it on the table. "I think you've had enough alcohol for right now, Meun." He said softly. "Do you want some water?"
“Give it back!” Meun complained, making inefficient grabby hands as he reached for the cup
"Meun," August said, pulling Meun's hands down. "You're drunk, okay? Do you want some water?"
Meun pouted up at him, gold eyes wide as he gave August his best "about to cry but not really" face
August let out a weak noise. "Don't look at me like that," he muttered, not exactly able to look away. He still hadn't let go of Meun's hand. "You're had a lot to drink, okay? Maybe you can have more later."
"Fine. I'll go get my own water," Meun huffed, taking his cup from him before stumbling over to the sink. He went to dump the punch out but ended up stumbling and stubbing his toe. Instead of saying "ow" like a normal person, he ended up crippling and falling to the floor before curling up in a ball
Meun!" August said, darting forward. "Meun, hey, are you okay?"
"I stubbed my toe," Meun sniveled, his voice slurring a bit as he curled up tighter. "It hurts," he whined, sounding vaguely childish
August let out a sigh of relief. "It's okay, Meun." He said, rubbing his shoulder a bit. "It's okay."
"It's not okay. The cupboard was mean to me," Meun whined, burying his face in the sleeves of August's jacket
