"I didnt notice that." She laughed
"I didnt notice that." She laughed
Belle walked over to the kitchen to grab a cup of water. She tripped on a piece of a rug but managed to catch herself before she fell.
Riverpaw snorted quietly at Belle, then went over and put a hand on her arm. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Belle laughed softly. "Just a little clumsy."
"Y-you mean just a little drunk, right? I think that's what you mean." Riverpaw winced.
Belle raised her eyebrows. "Do I? Am I?" she questioned, grabbing a cup and filling it with water.
“How spiked is that punch?” Rigel laughed, going to sit down.
Riverpaw watched Belle for second before going over to sit on the floor in front of the couch. "Well, Liz is responsible, s-soo.."
“Liz, I remember her. She had taste,” Rigel laughed. Laughing was good. He tapped his fingers on his knee, “How Tsuna doing cooped up?” He glanced at the closed door.
"Mm, s-she was fine for the most part, but I f-figured, if it's just us here, I could leave her out." Riverpaw craned her neck to see around the couch. "She's around here somewhere.."
“Oh, I bet she’s happy about that,” Rigel smiled and went to refill his water then sat back down. Rigel remembered when he wanted a dog, but Kate had been allergic… Stop. He needed to stop thinking about her. He bit his tongue in his mouth for some reprieve and something else to focus on. He looked down at Riverpaw and asked with a chuckle, “You got any boys or girls vying for you?”
Riverpaw whipped her head around to stare at him with confused eyes. "W-what does that mean..? I-I mean, I think I know what it means, but just to be sure."
August laughed into his drink. "He's asking if you have anyone competing for your affections." He explained, smiling. "Or are you the one competing for theirs?"
Rigel howled with laughter, “I’m sure there are tons, Riv,” Rigel took a gulp of his water to stop himself from laughing too hard.
Riverpaw felt her heart skip, thinking of two people in particular, but she shook her head and pulled her phone out to distract herself. "N-no, there's…no-one. No one you need to w-worry about."
"Well that's no way to get us to stop being curious," August said, scooting closer. "So what's their name? Or names."
Riverpaw drew her shoulders up, trying to hid her face, but she couldn't help but grin a little. "S-stop it, it's…nothing. Seriously."
"Ooh, so there is someone." August said smirking. "From the way you're grinning it doesn't seem like it's nothing."
“Oooooo, tell us,” Rigel leaned over as if it was some big secret. He felt like he was at one of those cliche movie girl sleep overs and he nearly burst out laughing again as he waited eagerly for Riverpaw to spill the beans.
Riverpaw groaned under breath, glaring at both of them. She took a shaky deep breath, and looked her phone. "Eleena and Molly. That's their names, but th-that's all you're getting right now."
"Aw, and you like them?" August teased.
“Too cute!” Rigel said with a feminine voice and then laughed again.
Riverpaw sighed, but giggled at Rigel's voice. "W-we just group-hugged and shared a touching moment with the group, and this is how you treat me? How dare." She shook her head again, then mumbled, "B-but..yeah…I-I like them.."
"Look, we didn't group hug, we bonded. We had a bonding moment. We cradled each other in our arms. And you already teased me, so this is just payback." August said, finishing his water. "But more importantly, do they like you back?"
“Awww!” Rigel laughed some more. He remembered his last crush and how he had acted just like Riv, “I’m sure you’ll end up with one of them.”
