"If you say so," Belle muttered, leaning back in her seat.
"If you say so," Belle muttered, leaning back in her seat.
Meun walked over to the counter, reciting what he wanted to say in his head before he found the mean waitress from earlier. He went to ask about the food, but before he could speak she was beginning to hand him trays of food. He looked over at Belle with a sort of "please help me" look
Belle laughed quietly to herself and stood to help Meun.
"What's goin' on here?" she asked him and Alexis.
"I'm being shoved food and I don't know who ordered what and I'm scared of her," Meun aggressively whispered before finding what he was pretty sure was his food
"Well, I know for sure I had one of the burgers. Didn't you, too? And I think everyone else just ordered drinks, but I could be wrong," Belle stated, taking some of the plates from him and balancing them like a pro. Thank goodness for that waitressing job I had when I was eighteen. "Here, let's just go set everything down at the table, and people can figure out what they got from there."
“Yes? Food! I had a chicken burger with cheese pickles and tomatoes, curly fries, and a chocolate shake” aspen said looking at the many plates
(Imma put in a lot, whoops, sorry for the wall of text; I got really bored lol)
“Try one pack, kid, you know you’ll love ‘em,” Rigel waved the cigs around as they stood out back. Rigel was fully aware of one of the busters waiting around the corner of the building, but he would send the greenie away before the buster made his move.
The poor kid, he was probably only fifteen, agreed to the deal and went back inside, his ‘lunch’ break over. Rigel waited for the buster -thankfully the nicer one named Ren-, who came out, sighing, “You know what happens when Alfonzo get impatient, Rigel.”
“I do, Ren. Just wish you wouldn’t interrupt me with my friends,” Rigel said plainly then continued as he picked at his nails, “But I suppose dealing drugs is a twenty-four hour game.”
Ren frowned, but Rigel saw something more in his eyes. Pity. Ren felt bad for him. Rigel gave one of his trademarked maniac laughs, “Are you going to beat me up or what? I know what he told you to do, it happens every time I miss a deadline.”
Ren’s eyes were sorrowful, “I’m not going to, Rigel. I was told to, but I’m not. We used to be friends before she-”
“I don’t want your pity!” Rigel shouted at him to cut him off, then continued quieter, “I deserve the punishment.”
“You don’t, Rigel. You don’t. We all know that you don’t get a cut of the money. We all know why Alfonzo’s out to get you. We all know why you were so upset when she-“
“Shut up and beat me already!” Rigel slammed his fist into Ren’s face before he could say another word. Ren frowned and spat on the ground in front of Rigel.
“I’m doing you a favor, Rigel, and you should appre-“ Ren started but didn’t get out another word as Rigel jammed a knee into his gut. Ren’s weak spot, physically and emotionally, after 2009. Ren growled and tackled him down and Rigel savored the pain.
“This. Is. What. You. Get. For. Acting. So. Stupid.” Ren’s punctuated every word with a heavy breath and a punch. Rigel, of course, needed a brawl in. He punched and kicked back until Ren had Rigel slumped against the wall. Rigel smiled his traditional crooked grin at Ren as the man walked away. Ren glared at him, “You really should take the help when it sits before you. At least ask your new friends for help.” Ren was talking about Rigel’s gang.
“No,” Rigel answered firmly as he leaned his head up against the wall. The only thing he would ask his friends about his dark dealings were offering them some. But that was where Rigel stopped. He wouldn’t be a charity project for them, he couldn’t.
Rigel slid up to where he leaned on the wall. It hurt in a lot of places, but Rigel hoped they wouldn’t show bruises any time before he left the diner. At least the visible ones. Rigel felt his eye swelling slightly already. He shook his head to himself, and went back into the diner to get a cold drink before he left.
(Jeez dude XD)
August looked away from the window, a light blush on his face. He turned to Meun as the food was being set down. "You could stay with me if you wanted." He said, clearing his throat awkwardly after. "I mean, I basically live in a motel room so it might not be the best place, but… you're still welcome."
(Jeez dude XD)
(That's what I was thinking. Lol.
Just so you guys know, I won't be on much today.)
(M'kay)
(Me either. I have to do chores and then I'm going out with a friend)
(Same. I'm going to a play later with my dad and sister, and I have a busy schedule anyway)
(Ooo What play?)
(I also won’t be on much cause I’m going on a road trip with my family, and I’m sorry for the long post >=< I was really bored this morning)
(I get you. Also, the play is The Play That Goes Wrong. Me and my sister have seen it before but our dad hasn't and it's really funny)
(Anything with that kind of name must be funny. What's it about?)
(Basically a theater troupe attempts to put on a play, but it all goes horribly wrong. At least two of the actors get knocked out and the set just collapses around them. The actors also have no idea what they're doing as they go through the play and the "set people" are forced to be in it at some point too. Altogether it's just completely chaotic and hilarious)
(That sounds like an interesting play.)
(That sounds amazing)
(I probably won't be on much tomorrow 'cause it's kinda my first day of school.)
(sheesh, I get a decent amount of sleep for once and suddenly there's an entire page to catch up on)
Meun felt his face redden a tad. "Would you…um. Would you let me stay with you for a day?" he asked August
(Decent sleep? Haha what is that??)
"If you want. We might have to share a bed though." August said, picking up a fry from Meun's plate.
(lmao idk, I went to bed at 10 and that's decent for me)
"That would be alright. It's better than the gas station floor," Meun chuckled as he took a sip of his milkshake
(Nah I have insomnia so I try and fall asleep at a normal time and end up lying awake for hours/waking up at every small noise and not falling back asleep/waking up early)
"Great. Fair warning though, don't go in the pool. Or talk to the tourists. Half the time I'm convinced that they're really local cryptids in human form." August said. He hadn't actually gotten food, but he was completely fine with stealing fries off Meun's plate.
