Liam nodded his thanks, “Thank-you.” He made his way through the house, trying to find Kasey’s room. Eventually he found her.
(Woop!)
Kasey has just woken up when Liam walked in. She rubbed at her eyes and sat up, still not fully awake. Seeing Liam standing in the doorway, she blinked a few times and rubbed her eyes again.
"Liam?" she asked, sounding groggy.
“Hey there. How are you?” He asked gently, walking into the room and sitting on the end of her bed, “I’m so sorry.”
Kasey looked confused for a moment before realization dawned on her. She closed her eyes and took a shaking breath.
"I had her for a long time," she whispered. "She was pretty old. I shouldn't be so shaken up about it…"
Liam moved closer and wrapped his arms around her in a loving embrace.
“You’re allowed to be shaken up about it. Like you said, you had her for a long time and was very special to you. You’re allowed to be upset.”
Kasey let a few tears slip from her eyes as she buried her face in Liam's shoulder.
Don't cry, don't cry. Stop crying. You can't do this. Just stop! You literally watch people die and don't cry for them. Why can't you do that now?
Because this was my cat! She was my best friend, as strange as that may seem!
A sob escaped her throat, and she cried harder.
Harper restlessly paced the living room, unsure of what to do. There was a guy in his sister's room, a guy who claimed to be her boyfriend, no less. Harper could feel his "over-protective-brother mode" starting to show.
“It’s alright, I’ve got you.” Liam traced small circles on the others back. He felt completely sorry for her, he couldn’t imagine losing Mortem. He staying embracing her, placing a small kiss to the top of her head, “You’ll be okay.”
(When you're watching a show and someone gets blown up…)
After a while, Kasey's crying slowed and she relaxed a bit in Liam's arms.
"Thank you," she whispered, her voice sounding choked.
(When you in class and not going your work…)
Liam gave her a sad smile, placing another kiss to her head.
“You have nothing to thank me for.” Liam replied quietly.
(Lol.
It's after midnight, my sister, a friend, and I are at a couple's house because we were babysitting, and we're watching Netflix. XD)
"You're here, so I'm thanking you for that," Kasey said, pulling back so she could look at Liam. She closed her eyes and laughed a little. "Oh, gosh. I must look like such a mess…"
(Me and my friend are mucking around in Spanish class…)
Liam chuckled, “You look fine, don’t worry about it.” He said, giving her a reassuring smile, “I don’t care anyway.”
Kasey cracked an eye open and smiled a little. "You're just saying that…"
Liam shook his head, “You’re beautiful to me no matter what.”
"I doubt that. I'm sure I'll find a way to make myself less beautiful someday," Kasey murmured with a slight frown. She shook her head as if to clear it, and her smile returned. "I'm glad you're here. Did I say that already?"
“Kinda, although I don’t think your brother is glad I’m here.” Liam said, rubbing his neck, and letting out a nervous laugh, looking towards the door.
"You saw Harper? Oh, wait, of course you did. He must have let you in, huh?" Kasey shook her head, smiling at herself. She smirked at Liam. "So… What did you think of him?"
“Well, he’s protective, that’s one word to describe him but… he’s nice. I’m assuming he will be once he stops being suspicious that I’m not a murderer and actually your boyfriend.” Liam said, letting out a nervous laugh.
"Do you want to go meet him? I mean, like, talk to him and stuff?" Kasey asked with a smile, moving to stand.
“Uh, I mean.. I probably should.” Liam said, smiling a little and standing himself.
Kasey laughed a little and swung her legs off the bed. "Let's go, then," she said, starting out her door.
“If he kills me then I’ll blame you.” Liam muttered but he had a smile on his face as he followed Kasey out.
Kasey batted at Liam. "He's not going to kill you. If he does, then he knows what will happen," she declared with a smile.
“And what, my darling, would that be?” Liam purred, raising an eyebrow.
"That depends on if you really are a murderer or not," Kasey teased, turning to grin at him.
Liam rolled his eyes and placed a kiss on her cheek, “I promise I’m not a murderer.”
