"I figured," Nat replied with a smile. It looked good on her – She didn't do it often enough.

"If you wanted to know what I was talking about though, you could've just asked." Kiania teased, after a slight pause of just…watching Nat's smile.
"I didn't think you'd tell. You're quite a woman of mystery, Ms. da Costa…" Nat remarked, brushing a piece of her hair behind her ear. A small earring peeked out.
"I probably would have told you to mind your own business, but who knows. I can share a secret or two every once in a while." Kiania snorted, shaking her head. "And please, for the love of Loki, don't call me that. You sound like every socialite at every gala I've ever been to."
"Ms. da Costa?" she repeated teasingly.
"Aw, c'mon. I asked nicely, didn't I." She complained dramatically, leaning heavily into Nat with a long and over-loud sigh.
Nat's eyes widened, but she adjusted by wrapping her arms around the girl's shoulders. "Oh, woe is you."
Kerenza leans her head back. “I miss you dad…” she whispered.
Artemis scooted away from them awkwardly. She felt like she was interrupting something that she really should not be present for, even if it was taking place on her own front steps. She let her thoughts wander to the intruders who had broken into her home. Why had they-? She abruptly shot to her feet. “Of course!” she exclaimed.
Kiania looked up at Artemis, her heart fluttering just slightly at Nat's arm around her as she raised an eyebrow. "What's up babe? Care to share with the group?"
“The thieves weren’t looking for something, they were looking for someone!” Artemis said excitedly. She began to pace back and forth, waving her hands around. “My mother, to be exact. She died approximately three years ago, and my stepfather keeps her ashes in the artifact room. He spelled her remains so he can revive her soul for short bursts, and I’m quite certain those thieves wanted to replicate that spell somewhere else.”
Reviving souls? No wonder. Kiania furrowed her brows, chewing on her lip in thought for a few moments. "Nothing was missing, you said. So they didn't find it. But they know it's there, and that means they might come back for it, or full on attack the Sanctum."
Kerenza raises and eyebrow. “Yeah…we should probably head back there then”
