Reyna wiped her tears away and steadied her breathing.
"Most of the kids at the foster home are still there,but a lot of the staff are gone." She explained

Rosie frantically ran over to a group of strangers. "Have you seen my brother Peter?" She asked.

Sam shook his head. "No I haven't…." He felt like his mind was about to explode.

"I'm scared," Rosie said. "He's only five, and he's never been without myself or one of my parents."

"I've got a bunch of kids who are all alone without anyone, they need someone, we have to find others." Reyna said worried. She couldn't leave them alone much longer.

“I’m sorry. We’ve got to figure this out,” Meg said, chewing on a fingernail nervously.

He sat down on the curb, writing all this down. Little brother Peter: Gone. Foster kids: Partially gone and in need of help. Meg's dad: Gone. Sam tapped his pen on the edge of his notebook and bounced his leg up and down.

"There must be someone we know who can help. Right?" Reyna said nervously. She knew someone, but should didn't know if he was still alive.

SHebgripped her head in her hands and sank to the street, just comprehending the situation. “Oh my god. Oh my god,” she whispered over and over.

"Probably…" Sam mumbled to the foster girl, continuing to stare off into space.

"Maybe…..we could do it," Rosie said out loud.

He looked up at the girl. "But we don't know anything. That, and we're just kids."

"Well standing isn't doing anything!" Reyna said impatiently.

"Does anyone know someone who might know something about this?" Sam asked quietly.

Maddie walked out if her apartment, Natasha Romanov with her and they spotted a group of people hanging around on the street, clearly discussing what happened. Maddie let out a loud whistle to get their attention.

“Well, if you’re not happy with what we’re doing go off by yourself, why don’t you?” She snapped again, looking up. She was losing control of her emotions. I’m never going to see Mark again. Who knows what happened to Lily?
“Half the world is gone and everyon’es more concerned about taking care of kids who are currently in a safe place?!” She continued, ignoring all her rational thoughts. “What happens to us? What caused that? Is it coming to kill us? What happens next?”

“HEY!!” Maddie screamed across the street as she and the shield agent made their way over, “Bickering isn’t going to get you anywhere!”

Sam looked over at the two girls headed towards them. One of them seemed older then the others. "And who do you think you are?"

“Madelyn Tillian,” Maddie said, glancing sidelong at Natasha before she spoke again. “And Natasha Romanov, agent of Shield.”

He stood up quickly. "Woah, hold on. Agent of Shield?"

“Yes. What Maddie says is true,” Natasha said when they were a few meters away, “Shield has been trying to keep track of all the young… heros out there. Ones that might help when the Avengers fail. I have one,” She glanced at Maddie, who blushed deeply, “but… need others to help defeat Thanos.”
