Sam eyed the girl down the street who waved at him. He stopped in his tracks, not sure if he could trust her or not. He was usually pretty trusting, but these were intense circumstances.

“Bubba, what’s happening to me?” Sara looked up at her brother, Jay, scared then disappeared in a wisp of ash. “Sis? Sis no!” Jay frantically reached to grab the ash, hold her so she couldn’t go. She was gone. Just like that.
Meg started jogging towards the boy. She was close to tears. “Please! Don’t run away! I’ve got to know I’m not going insane,” Meg yelled, stopping a few feet away.
"I'm gonna go find some help. Stay here and be safe." Reyna told the kids and ran outside. More people were still turning to dust.
Sam stared at her suspiciously. She seems trustworthy… He looked around at the dust that blew through the wind. "If you're talking about everyone disappearing, then you're not insane."
“Thank God,” Meg sighed. “Wait. No. That’s bad. But at least I’m not insane. I’m Meg.” She took a step forwards and offered a hand.
He took her hand and shook it. "Sam. Well Samuel, really." His took his hand back so she wouldn't notice that it was shaking.
The chat room becoming too much worry and stress for her, she stepped outside to see what was happening. “Hello?” She called to the almost empty street, save two people talking. She stepped and something shifted under her foot. Looking down, a trail of footprints led from where she had been, marking her path through the ashy remains of her neighbors.
He took her hand and shook it. "Sam. Well Samuel, really." His took his hand back so she wouldn't notice that it was shaking.
“Hi,” Meg said, wiping her sweaty palm on her jeans. “Um.” Her throat was getting choked up.
//ahh sorry luce didnt see that just talk to them
//iPad will die soon. Probably not good idea
//oh ok well if u need a charger I’m in the library
Sam's breaths were shaky. He spotted another girl down the street, who looked just as confused as he felt.
As Jay ran through the streets he could see people turning to ash on every side of him. Across the street he found some hope when he saw two people talking. “I need help.” He said as he ran up to them. “M-My sister… She just vanished. Am I crazy? Please tell me I’m crazy. These people look like their vanishing too.”
//is all good now, stole joanna’s :D
“Hello?” She repeated hesitantly, walking towards them. She was scared, and she hated being scared. She didn’t like anyone having that sort of power over her.
“Okay. No jokes. I need a minute. I’m Meg. Be right back,” Meg rushed. “Oh. Hi.” She waved at the girl who’d just come up and ran back into her house, coming outside again a few minutes later.
Oh good, another guy. Sam thought as the boy ran up to him. "Okay hello you two, I'm Sam. Does anyone know what's happening?"
Meg shook her head violently.
Reyna desperately searched around trying to find others who were't turned to ash.
"Hello?! Anyone?!"
Jay panted as he came to a stop. “No. All I know is my sister is gone and everyone else is vanishing just like she did.”
“My dad….” Meg whispered.
Sam took out his notebook. "Well, not everyone. Only some people. There seems to be no connection between the people who have disappeared, and they don't seem to share a common trait or anything."
“Sherlock,” Meg grumbled. “Sorry. I’m just- what’s happening?”
He shook his head, running his fingers through his hair. "I don't know…this doesn't make any sense…"
Jay ran a hand through his hair. “So you guys are telling me that random people are just randomly disappearing?”
