Fixed! Sorry!
(dude it's totally fine. At least you didn't leave out anything more important XD
Want me to get a starter up?)
(This is true…)
And Yes please!
(alrighty! Might be a bit lengthy tho lol)
(Also! I just realized I never explained the soulmate thing…so I was thinking it's the touch one? Where the first place their skin ever meets is black, and when they touch, it glows? And every time they're near each other it flows again)
Nikolas surveyed the camp with a critical eye. He had already broken up two fights so far, as the soldiers from the two differing sides had gotten into arguments and fought each other, the hatred between Tesh and Kevra still running far too strong. He was holding a slim cane topped with a silver crow's head. His leg was giving him pain again, and he needed to compensate for that. He could only hope it didn't make him appear weak. He caught one of the Tesh soldiers watching him and sneering, and he bared his teeth in a snarl, golden eyes flashing. The soldier backed away. Nik faced forward again, feeling proud of himself. The camp was set up into two portions. One side for the Kevrans, one side for the Tesh. In the center was a larger tent that would be the meeting place, guarded by men of both armies. His father stood beside him as they surveyed the camp.
(Nice! So maybe a handshake? Or one trips and the other helps then up?)
Eclipse sighed as he walked towards the main tent, two steps behind his father. He couldn't imagine why they were doing this, after all, the Kevrans were murderers. But nonetheless he was here. He himself had had to break up fights since arriving, rebuking his kingdom's soldiers for starting fights with the Kevran soldiers. But it was understandable. After all both kingdoms had been enemies for years. But this, this right here and now was a moment in history. The two kings of the fueding countries, they were meeting to form a peace treaty. He didn't know why, but he didn't exactly have a say in it at the moment either. Fortunately for him he was pulled out of his thoughts as they approached the main pavillion in the center of camp. He adjusted his hunters vest, having convinced, his father that it was more practical in the feild, though it was a nicer version of his normal one, silver embroidery on the hem and hood bringing out his eyes, and the silver in his hair.
(hmm…I was thinking more along the lines of they make every effort not to touch, and then they get in a sparring match and touch each other, or rush in to break up a fight at the same time and end up touching?)
Nikolas and his father walked into the tent. Nik's eyes narrowed at the sight of the prince and king of Tesh, but inclined his head to show respect. He would not bow to this… creature. He hardly could think of the Tesh as human. Not after what they had done in the war. He had seen the warfront, had seen what had been done to his men. His leg twinged as if in physical reminder and his lips tightened, his hand tightening it's grip on the head of his cane. He hated how weak he must appear, despite his reputation as a killer and a scourge on the battlefield. His father and the Tesh king were already engaging in talk, both still standing as neither was willing to be the first to sit. It would be seen as weakness. Nik wanted to sit. His leg was starting to pain him far more than usual, and he was regretting saying that he could walk that last distance to camp, when the monster had come out last night and made everything worse. But he couldn't sit until his father did.
(Oooooo! That's even better!!)
Eclipse followed his father into the tent, studying the other kingdom's prince out of the corner of his eyes. The interior of the ten was as you would think, with a large table and four chairs for the royals. He took a stance near the back of the room, having no wish to talk to anyone as the shadows seemed to swell around him. It was a subconscious maneuver, since he rarely wanted to be spoken to, and certainly not by a Kevran. His father and the opposing king had already begun speaking, neither having taken a seat to avoid looking weak. His attention flicked to the Kevran Prince. He noted how the other seemed to be hiding pain of some sort, and how he had a cane. Some sort of leg injury, perhaps? It seemed reasonable. The fact that he was holding out this long, that earned him a limited degree of respect.
(thanks! By the way, is it alright if I control the Tesh King during the negotiations?)
Nik's eyes flashed slightly as they flicked to the Tesh Prince, examining him. A hint of shame flickered through his body at the fact that everyone else in the tent stood on their own two feet without a problem, but he was leaning on his cane more than he normally did, his hands whiteknuckled in their grip on the silver head. He reassured himself with the knowledge that he was the only one of them all who had served on the front. He took a deep breath, and walked to the table, limping. He looked down at the map, eyes flickering across the figures and flags marking the heaviest fought battles with the largest casualty rates. He braced a hand on the table, letting it take part of his weight to get his weight off of his left leg.
(Perfectly fine! I actually don't like his character, and he dies early on, so butcher him all you like. (Outside of this RP, he actually abuses Eclipse, and later Eclipse's younger half brother, is a tyrant, and murders Eclipse's mom in front of him, because he had the guts to try to defy him.)
(o.o okay then)
(Sorry for not responding, I had to go for supper)
(tis fine)
Eclipse's eyes followed the Kevran Prince as he moved, noting how he was leaning heavily on his cane with a white-knuckled grip. He hummed softly as he studied the other, a glimmer of respect firmly lodging itself in his heart, knowing that the other had a lot of stamina to keep standing despite whatever pain he was in. Probably someone who's been on the front line…. he thought, knowing he would've gone too, if it hadn't been for his fathers insistence on managing the home troops. He sighed, moving to the table with the other prince, making sure to stay well out of anyone's reach, his eyes sweeping over the map showing the conflict between the two sides.
Nikolas let out a soft breath, and looked over to his father, silently begging the older men to put their pride away and sit down. His father and the Tesh King were locked in conversation, their voices rising and falling. He wondered how the two could let go of their hate so easily, too. He let out a breath, and looked back down at the map. He frowned a little, and adjusted the pieces positioning, though his gaze was far away, remembering the battlefields he had fought in and the friends he had lost.
Eclipse noticed the other's far away look, but made sure to show none of his own as he turned his focus to the two other men in the room. He noticed his father's prideful demeanor, but one that was more humble than usual. He was surprised at this. His father? Humble? That was something that didn't fit his MO. But… the Kevran ruler was fairly docile too. Maybe…. just maybe their kingdoms could have peace after all?
His father finally looked over at the two princes, and spotted Nikolas and the white-knuckle grip that the prince had on the cane. "Perhaps we should sit down?" he suggested.
King Nightfang gestured to the chairs. "After you." he replied.
Neither king moved for a long moment, studying each other. Sure, they were being pleasant enough, but neither wanted to give ground before the other. It had been an admission of weakness, however small, for king Crowe to even suggest sitting, even if it had been for Nikolas's sake. Which was almost worse. Nik sighed softly, knowing that now neither would sit for even longer, simply to see who was the more stubborn. Meanwhile, his leg continued to pulse with an angry pain the longer he stood. He shifted, putting all of his weight on his right leg.
Eclipse let out an inaudible sigh, knowing his father was a stubborn man, though he had to say, he wished he had a father that cared enough to admit weakness for him like that. Not that he ever would. He noticed how the other prince shifted his weight, a look of resignment in his eyes. His own gaze softened a little at that, but now was not the time for that. He returned his attention to the table, trying to remember the briefing he'd been given moments before they came, a futile gesture as he paced around the room once more, the tense atmosphere making him uneasy.
Nikolas cast a look at the chairs, and closed his eyes for a moment. I don't want this. I don't want to deal with these…these murderers. He refrained from spitting on the floor, or worse, upon the prince or king of Tesh. His father took a step towards the table as he spoke with the king of Tesh, steering the conversation closer to the chairs and the table. Nik took a deep breath, adjusting his grip on the cane.
Eclipse paced around the perimeter of the room, simply studying the royals of the opposing country. He noted how they both moved, their manner of speech when and if they spoke. He noted, rather enviously, how King Crowe seemed to actually care that his son was in pain. In his place he would've been rebuked later, possibly set to another 'training' match with the guards.
Nik took a deep breath. He knew why the wound pained him so much today, but it didn't make it any better. The monster had taken control last night and broken the chains, had flown into the sky. Nik had awoken in the woods with blood coating his body. Whose, he wasn't sure. Be it a person's or an animal's, he didn't know. He had walked back to camp, limping so badly he was nearly falling by the time he got back.
Eclipse was just about done with his father's stubbornness, and would've taken a seat just to defy him if he didn't know it meant punishment later. He sighed, pacing around even more, anxious to shift and just run. He knew he'd be able to as soon as this meeting was done with, which he would be grateful for. He knew the woods would be a perfect place to run free for awhile, something he rarely got to do at home.
Nik let out a breath. He shifted again, and mistakenly put weight on his left leg. He inhaled in pain, and lifted his leg again, closing his eyes against the pain. He let his breath out again in a sigh, trying to reign in the pain. Please, father. Please sit down before I collapse. He begged silently, eyes seeking out the kings beseechingly.
King Nightfang caught Nikloas's gaze; the way he was standing, the pain in his stance and eyes. "King Crowe, is there something wrong with your son? He seems as if he will collapse. If he is meant to be the best of your men, then I wonder at how you have held so fast against us."
King Crowe's eyes narrowed. "There is absolutely nothing wrong with my son. He was wounded fighting your armies on the front, and it is no one's fault but yours that he is hurt."
Eclipse had noticed how the other's pain was increasing, and how his father had reacted. "Father" he addressed king Nightfang with a submissive tone, something very hard for him to control, "Why don't we all just stop this show of stubbornness and take a seat so the negotiations can truly begin." he said softly, his tone even, hoping he wouldn't regret this. He gave prince Nikloas another once over, knowing he would indeed collapse if he didn't sit down. Soon.
