Cyrus glanced at Sparrow and looked her up and down. She was definitely a bit tense. He couldn’t do much about it now.
“You know there are some levels underneath the guild, right? They’re under tight lock and key, and I figure they don’t want us to get to the kids easily.”
Luna didn’t move a muscle as Uriah spun around. She caught sight of Maya crawling away and checked the color of the fletching on the arrow. It was green. Maya should be dead before she could call out for help from the poison now in her body, but that scream probably alerted some anyway. Luna looked back at Uriah her eyes filled with sadness and determination as all she got in return was utter hatred. She took a deep breath, “No. You are Uriah of White Wings. Over a year ago your life was spared by an assassin from Black Claw named Zhavia. She’s dead now after a mission gone wrong in an attempt to find out more about what goes on here. In the year between then and now you traveled with Sparrow. I don’t know what. You helped rescue a little girl that came from here as well, Esmae. She became a lot kinder after meeting you. You have more than just ‘someone’ thinking your Uriah. A-And, dios, I knew we sh-shouldn’t have sent you here.”
Luna could feel her old mask slip away as her emotions started to get the better of her. She just wanted him to believe her so he would come with her and they could get out of this infierno.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He took another swing and grazed her shoulder. The sound of foot steps came running down the hall. "We have intruders!" One of the smaller assassins slipped away and hit a button sending alarms throughout the whole building. "Everyone knows you're here, so how about you leave. Because I would hate to kill a pretty girl like you." Some other assassins came and stood behind Uriah, ready to put up a fight. "Ah, if it isn't Luna of white wings. We've been waiting for you. Jax pushed himself to the front and stood next to Uriah. "So, where are your friends?" He looked around realizing she was the only one here at this moment. "Have you met my friend Damian? He's one of our best." Jax had a evil grin on his face and took another step forward. "We've trained him nice and good. It's a shame your guild took him and beat him up just to find out where our guild was. Oh, and sending those kids to kill his family, so cold hearted."
Luna took a step back and growled slightly. She got caught, by a majority of the guild and Uriah had no memories. This was going well and dios she needed to control herself. She put her dagger away and began pulling her bow out knocking multiple arrows in at once. She needed to get Uriah away and then probably knock him out since her attempts to bring his memories back weren't working. Luna paid no mind to the guy now in front of Uriah, still looking at him while glancing at the others. She could handle them easily. She pulled her bow back not bothering to hide the rage in her eyes, "That's what they're telling you Uriah? It couldn't be more wrong, it was all them. I promise that much."
Cyrus glanced at Sparrow and looked her up and down. She was definitely a bit tense. He couldn’t do much about it now.
“You know there are some levels underneath the guild, right? They’re under tight lock and key, and I figure they don’t want us to get to the kids easily.”
Sparrow nodded "I assumed as much. We should check them out"
“Let’s go,” Cyrus muttered, “I’m not sure I can wait much longer.”
"If what you are saying is true, when what is our relationship, what was my part in the guild and.." He pushed Jax to the side and stood right in front of Luna. Grabbing the edge of his shirt and took it off. He was more muscular, but there was barely a clear spot of skin. He had bruises, cuts, gashes anything you can can imagine. "I'm sure friends or whatever, don't leave people to feel this kind of pain." Uriah's hand gripped around Luna's neck and he slammed her against the wall with ease.
Sparrow nodded and walked through the hallways, making sure to remember which halls she took. A short while later they came to a dead end. Two small holes were cut into the stone and Sparrow peeked through. "I can see the kids!" She whisper yelled
Cyrus perked up and glanced to where she was.
“Alright, now we just need to figure out how to get them out.”
He peeked through next to her and sighed.
“See anyone else over there?”
"Not specifically. If we can find a weak spot, we can knock out this wall and get them here." She said, goicing her thoughts
Cyrus nodded, “That’s what I was thinking too. We just need to not be seen. Shouldn’t be too hard though. We don’t need that big of a hole for the kids to crawl through.”
"Ok." Sparrow looked at the wall then blushed, hoping he couldnt see in the dim light. "Uhm, I dont know how to do this. I never learned how to find a weak spot and I dont have a gadget because I never needed it." She said, a little frustrated
Luna dropped her bow and the arrows as she looked at him even being pinned against the wall. Dios, why the neck? She could feel her breathing begin to pick up as memories began to flood through her head. Stop. Stop! That isn't then, she got out. She got back to her friends. Now Uriah needed her help, whether he knew it or not. Luna looked back and forced herself to speak as calmly as her shaking voice and body would let her, "Y-You volunteered t-to come h-here alone kn-knowing the r-risks. D-Dios, none o-of us w-wanted this t-to happen t-to you. Y-you were o-our friend, U-Uriah. N-no role n-needed. A-and I-I. I-I. I-I th-think I-I f-fell i-in l-love w-with y-you," the last words were said softly so only Uriah could hear. Even if he didn't care or remember her, she finally got to say that to him. Her vision had started to blur and her heart was now pounding in her ears. She was going to pass out soon if nothing changed.
“I don’t have tools for this either, but that’s just why we have to be resourceful,” Cyrus said, “Obviously there’s some weakness where the holes are, so we can start there.”
Sparrow nodded "to think we learned everything except how to find a weak spot." She said, laughing incredulously.
Nathan heard laughing and sat up "is that Sparrow? I thought I heard her laugh!" He whispered yelled
Uriah loosened his grip. Memories came back, not all of them, but a lot. He leaned in close to Luna's ear. "Pretend to pass out." Those last words she said, he really needed them. He also wanted to tell her how he felt, and it was hard not to, but now wasn't the time. Slightly looking over his shoulder he saw Jax and everyone else watching his every move, wondering what he was going to do next. "Also, I apologize." He noticed Sparrow and Cyrus weren't with her. She didn't come alone did she? So badly did he just want to pull her close and hug her. The girl he fell in love with is here, but he almost could have killed her as well. Weak, I'm so weak.
Luna didn't have to try hard to fake passing out. She had been so close anyways, her trembling hands just came to a stop and she forced her facial muscles to relax despite her slight apprehension. Uriah remembered, at least she hoped so. Otherwise she was just giving herself to the enemy all over again, and. And that wasn't a good thing. Either way she was so close to just giving in to the darkness, and hoped she would get out of there sooner than later.
Katya looked to Nathan after listening for a second, "If it is them be quiet. We don't want them to get caught."
Uriah threw her over his shoulder and began to walk without a word. After a while of walking he opened a door. Moments later he tossed her on his bed, then locked his door. Making sure the others wouldn't follow. She seemed to have really passed out, or it seemed she was at least. He sat in his chair looking out the window and waited for her to wake up. At this point he didn't know who to believe, so he had a lot of questions.
Esmae stood for the first time in a while and ran over to the wall. "Cy, Sparrow, is that you?" She hadn't heard Luna yet, but she was hoping she was with them and not going after Uriah.
Cyrus whispered through the cracks.
“Yes, it’s us. Everything’s going to be okay… just keep an eye out for us, would you? And don’t draw any unwanted attention. Anyone see weak spots in the wall?”
Vida stood up. Tears started streaming down her face.
“You came back for us…” she whispered.
Luna laid there for a while until she could open her eyes and not have a panic attack. Well, and she had to stop her heart from pounding in her ears, but that had passed. Slowly she sat up and reached up to lightly feel around her neck. She winced slightly and figured a bruise had already bloomed from being held so harshly. She glanced over at Uriah and said quietly, "D-do you remember now?"
"I don't know what I remember. Many memories are all over my head and I'm not sure which ones are true and which ones aren't." He turned his chair to look at her more. Crossing his arms, he looked at her bruise. It was pretty bad. "So, I want to to do everything you can to bring out my real memories. Anything." Uriah hated being a fake person, that he himself didn't even know. "Tell me everything." As soon as that left his mouth, he remembered her saying that she loved him. Just the thought made him feel something, so obviously, he wanted her help.
"I-I, uh, dios where to start," Luna responded with a bit of thought. She tugged at her hood and remembered her bow was probably back with the other assassins. And that she had gotten caught. Which means Panther knows that they are there trying to retrieve Uriah at the least, "W-we need to go. Th-there going to be after me and they'll find the others. Dios, we need to go. I-I can tell you anything you want to know. W-we just need to go."
"No. You can tell me now." He stood and strode over to the door blocking it. He wasn't going to let her go. First of all, he needed to know who he was, before going anywhere with anyone, and secondly he just didn't want her to leave. Her eyed again. She was small, and very beautiful, like a doll, at least that's how it was to him. "So, start talking." He moved his hair from his eyes showing his bright blue eyes.
Luna took a deep breath and fiddled with her hood. He wasn't going to let her go it seemed. Of course he forgot about the window, but she wanted him to trust her. She took another breath before looking back at Uriah, "Uh, if you didn't r-remember already your name is Uriah. Y-your the owner of some type of company, b-but I don't think you've ever been there after Zhavia had y-you fake your death. A-And um," why did her mind choose to blank now? Maybe she didn't know as much about him as she would have liked, but that didn't change how she felt at the very least. Luna looked down at her feet as she swung them off the bed and down at the floor. Her mind swirled with panic again as her head reminded Luna that she was trapped in a room in Panther's guild. She watched from the corner of her eyes as her hands began to tremble and she tugged her hood down further with an iron grip. She let out a quiet breath, "S-sorry, I-I can't think r-right now."
Uriah let out a sigh and walked over to her. "Let's just go find your friends. If they are found they will die." Gently he grabbed her hand in a comforting way. She seemed scared. "Once we find them you guys leave, and maybe I can convince Panther to leave you alone." He knew that was going to be close to impossible, but just maybe. "Where do you think they are at?" He lifted her from the bed and went to his desk to find his daggers. He wished he had a sword since he was better with one, but oh well. "We have to be careful now that they know you are here." When he turned he was only inches from her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm just a bit confused, sorry." Uriah brushed his fingertips along the bruise on her neck.
Cyrus tapped his earpiece.
“Luna? We found the kids. How is your objective going?”
He waited for a response, hoping that Luna would be able to answer soon if she wasn’t sneaking.
