"Alright." Uriah kissed her on the forehead then continued to the kitchen. When he entered the room, Cyrus was standing near the counter. "Hey, how are you feeling this morning?" Uriah walked over to grab himself a cup of water before he has to leave.
(But he’s in the kitchen lol)
(Lol)
Sparrow climbed the hatch and went outside. She climbed a tree and hung upside down on a thick branch
(Sorry, you didn't answer so I just assumed he wasn't, I'll just change my response.)
(It's all good.)
"I'm alright," Cyrus replied. But he wasn't really. His worry was a lot higher than he wanted to admit to anyone. Sure, everyone else was probably accustomed to his neuroticism, but he figured it was best not to act on his feelings this time. After all, last time he let that show through, he lost Sparrow.
"So, you ready for everything?" he asked, trying to change the subject.
"Yeah, a bit nervous though. I just hope the mountain path is the best choice." He would hate it if something happened and they got hurt, or worse. "We'll be back in a week." At least Sparrow will. Uriah has been thinking about staying behind longer, but he hasn't told anyone yet, he wasn't sure when the right time would be.
Sparrow climber higher up the tree, trying to reach the top
“Okay,” Cyrus replied, “Nerves aren’t all bad. I trust that means you’ll put pressure on yourself to do all of this right and get back safely. Leave the excessive worry to me while I wait for you two to come back. But um… is a week like an average estimate? Low end? Maximum?”
Cyrus rubbed his cheek a little; his nervousness for his friends was very obvious.
“I doubt a week will be enough, it usually takes a week to come and go.” Sparrow said, coming back down the hatch
“Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of… I just didn’t want to be expecting you so soon and think you were dead for the three days before you actually did return, you know?” Cyrus said, “I… um… sorry…”
“Don’t be. Hey…um….Cy? Can I—um—talk to you?” Sparrow asked him
“Yeah, of course. Always,” he replied, “What’s up?” Cyrus walked over from the counter to a little closer to Sparrow.
“Well I wanted to talk about what happened before.” She said rubbing her neck “I want us to be in good terms, because I’d tmrather not have this be the last memory of you if something were to happen to me.”
“Makes sense. I hate that you phrase it like that, though. I know you’ll try your best to live, but if anything happened to you, I’d be devastated. You deserve so much better than this kind of life.”
He smiled a little. “I care too much to be angry at this point, you know? So don’t worry about that.”
“If anything, Ryker will be yours then.” She looked over to where ryker was watching Zelda intently
"I acknowledge that you're putting yourself in danger, and that your death is a possibility, but let's not talk about things like that. You're a survivor, Sparrow. You're going to come back," Cyrus replied, "You're clever and strong, and you know what you're doing. And I appreciate the modesty- after all, being arrogant is dangerous in the business- but have some faith."
She smiled at him “I’m glad we are good now. I’m also glad that we left our stupid past behind.” She laughed softly
"Well, yeah. I never wanted hard feelings," Cyrus said, "No matter what, you're still always going to be one of my oldest friends, and one that I hold most dear. We've been through hell together at this rate. No reason for grudges."
She smiled and hugged him “thanks Cy, besides I can’t stay mad at you.” She said
Cyrus hugged her back. His heart rate rose a little bit as they touched. He was annoyed at his emotions at the moment, but as much as he tried to push them aside, he truly couldn't. Cyrus just hoped she didn't notice.
“You’re a really good friend.” She said then went to go stand beside Uriah
(OOF that's good)
Cyrus exhaled quietly, feeling dejected. He rubbed the back of his head a little bit.
"You're a good friend too," he said, offering the slightest of smiles.
(HAH! Friendzoned)
Sparrow smiled and went to pick up her pack “ready to go Uriah?”
(I'm back! Sorry about that.)
Uriah felt a bit weird as Sparrow and Cy were talking, there was just a bit of uneasiness as they hugged and smiled at each other. Maybe it was just him but he felt that there was still something between them. "Huh?" He was in a daze for a moment before snapping out of it. "Yeah, I'm ready." Walking towards the hatch he felt more and more scared to go on this mission of their's, but he was good at hiding it. He opened the hatch and climbed out and waited for Dparrow to follow.
Sparrow waved and whistles. Ryker flew up the hatch to jomy n them
