Alex walked out from his tent "Morning Zoe, sleep well?" he muttered under his breath "doubt it."
Alex walked out from his tent "Morning Zoe, sleep well?" he muttered under his breath "doubt it."
Luna was already outside. She felt dirty, but oh well. That’s the woods for you.
"I slept fine and cut the attitude," She went and started to take down the tents
He stretched "Sorry, slept on a rock." Alex helped take down the tents
"Well, I was thinking the mountain path." He moved his finger to that area. "It's dangerous to walk through, but that's why less people will be there and I'd rather deal with a dangerous pathetic then people." Uriah could fight but not as well as the others and how bad could the path really be?
Luna helped the other two with the tents. Not bothering to make small talk.
“For sure, but if you’re going that way, it’s best to make sure you have the equipment. If you were going alone, I would suggest avoiding the path altogether, but you’ll have Sparrow. Um… anything else that you think would be a good choice?” Cyrus looked over at the map where Uriah had indicated.
"Honestly, no. The forest is to dangerous, I mean theres a cave at the bottom of the mountain, but.. I've never been good with caves." He's been in one been in one before, but it almost collapsed and that memory has stuck with him for a while. "So, I don't think there's any other way."
“Okay. You seem pretty sure of yourself,” Cyrus agreed, “Mountains it is.”
Once the tents were all down, Zoe checked on their supplies. "Alright remember the plan."
Alex got his equipment ready and gathered what few supplies he needed.
"I'm just writting down what we will need to survive." Uriah pushed his list towards Cyrus so he could look it over. "I dont have much on there right now." Rope, food, drinks he had all the essentials, but couldn't figure out if he needed more.
“There’s not much else,” Cyrus replied, “Just make sure your shoes are in good shape, and don’t forget first aid stuff. I can almost guarantee that some sort of accident is going to happen, however minor.”
He stopped for another moment. “Pocketknife and gloves. You don’t need gloves, but they’ll protect your hands better. That should be it, though. You need to travel lightly.”
Uriah wrote down everything that Cyrus said. He would have to pack tonight. "Do you have gloves I could borrow?" He had nothing when he got here so, borrowing other peoples stuff was all he could do, even if he didn't like it.
“Yes. Remind me to get them later. In the meantime, make sure you’re well-rested and eating well,” Cyrus reminded him.
(I’ve got to go. I may be back in about 2 hours)
"Okay mom." Uriah teased. Uriah wanted to go outside, but because of the rain he couldn't. "I'll go rest for a bit." He went into the other room and laid in a bed closing his eyes.
(Oh no… he is mom…)
Cyrus watched Uriah go, and in the meantime tried to introduce himself to Andra officially.
Krista had been awake for hours. She was currently testing out some of the new weapons she got from The Garden. Agatha and Aetherius were embedded in a tree. Krista skillfully moved both of her index fingers to the silver bracelets at her wrists. The twin daggers flew through the air back to her, and she caught them by the handles.
She repeated the motions of throwing and retrieving, twirling around in a deadly ballet.
Sparrow was sprawled on a sofa
Andra smiled politely at Cyrus, introducing herself as well. She laughed a little at his awkwardness but didn’t comment on it.
Cyrus stopped for a second, suddenly remembering the note they had received some time back.
“Andra, we got a note some days ago now. We think it was from someone in the guild. It’s a bit of a stretch, but you don’t know who might have written it, do you?”
Andra frowned and then shook her head, “No, I don’t. I was on a mission when everything happened and when I got back… sorry, I don’t know, I wish I did, though. Eveything has gone to hell.”
“It’s fine. I know everything is terrible, but you made it out, and you’re here with us now,” Cyrus said.
“Yet I could have done more to help them back at the guild. And I didn’t.”
“Andra, it’s fine, you did what you could.” Eira said.
“Most of the people at the guild want all of us dead anyway,” Cyrus replied, “Helping anyone there would’ve been too big a risk.”
