Eventually, they pulled up to the funeral house, where the bodies were being held. Kura leaped off the seat gracefully before opening the door for her mistress with a faint bow.
Eventually, they pulled up to the funeral house, where the bodies were being held. Kura leaped off the seat gracefully before opening the door for her mistress with a faint bow.
Maradeth stepped out, making sure to avoid any mud on the way in.
Kura followed after, looking around before entering the funeral house as well.
Maradeth made her way to the bodies. They had been covered, and the fetuses were in the back room.
"How curious." Kura glances at the bodies, her eyes narrowing in wonder. "All women, uteruses carved out, rather well done night I say… And the children. Did they die as well?"
"Most did. One, however, was close to being in labor. The strangest part is that the killer cleaned and wrapped the baby, putting it to its mother's dead breast to feed. That's how it was found." Amradeth was fascinated. It seemed the crime was against the mother, not the children.
"How curious…" Kura mutters, gazing at the bodies. Curious indeed. She glances around before looking at her mistress. "What shall our course of action be, mistress?"
"The same as always; examine the bodies." Maradeth stepped into the back room.
Kura nods before glancing at a file before nodding to herself. She gazes at the bodies. "This needed an expert. Look at these cuts. Clean, well done. Must have needed someone trained with steady hands."
Maradeth nodded, carefully lifting the sheet on one body to look at the entirety of it.
"Look here; the entire uterus was cut out. Even the ovaries."
"Yes… I'm thinking the culprit behind this has a history in the medical field." She hummed, glancing over the body.
Maradeth quietly moved on to the baby who had been pulled from this woman.
"Look here; the child is nearly completely formed."
"It appears so." She says quietly, frowning at the death of the small child. She loved children, though she would never let it on.
Maradeth sighed, stepping back. She herself never desired a family, but she did enjoy the company of young children.
"So this murder seems to be after the mother. Not the child." Kura says with a small frown, seeming to think.
"Exactly." Maradeth examined the other teo woman; it was the same case for both.
"And they're MO seems to be carving out the woman's womb… intriguing. All these women wished to place these children for adoption or have them… removed once they were born. How ghastly."
