"a-a-ah! I wouldn't m-move t-too m-much.." he looked down, fidgeting with his hand. He glanced up at him and noticed he had his hand stretched out hearing him introducing himself. He probably should too shouldnt he?
"i-i-im n-nikko…i-i-its n-nice t-too m-meet y-you…j-jess…" He smiled at him, shaking his hand before putting away his supplies completely. He sighed, trying to force out the words that he needed at the moment.
"U-u-uh…u-um…." He couldn't get the words out, why? Why couldn't he just talk like a normal person?
"Nikko huh? Cool name" he says with a smile, ignoring his other words. He didnt care if it hurt or even if it tore. This kid did a good job and Jess had done so much worse than this and he was still good.
Well…granted this was a different wound and more deadly.
Thinking about it for about….2 more seconds before shrugging it off, Jess limped up against a wall. "We should probably get outta here. There's two more somewhere and theyre huge. I dont wanna run into those. It woukd take a whole team to take at least one down" he chuckled nervously at the thought.
"You know a place? I just came into town. I heard it has a nice view" he joked
Nikkō leaned over to his injury, taking off the blood soaked bandages and reapplying disinfectant and and a new gauze and bandage without any words.
"M-make s-sure y-you c-check it regularly…m-make s-sure you keep t-the bandages f-fresh.." he then heard about the fact he wanted him with him. "y-you w-want m-me t-to c-come with?" He looked at Jess with hope in his eyes. He looked to side putting a. Hand on his neck. "I had been h-hidning u-up t-theres f-for a w-week s-so I-i don't k-know anywhere..'
He stepped back before letting him touch him again. "Man, you cant just do that without warning me. Tell me when youre gonna do that" he says with a sigh.
"Man youve been here a week and dont know the place. Oh well i guess youve been hiding so that makes sense" Jess shrugged. "Okay well lets go find somewhere to stay for a bit before we get eaten" he says stepped out of the mall, through the shattered glass on the cracked tiled floor.
"o-oh r-right s-sorry…" He sighed, he nodded and followed after him as they left the shopping mall.

Jezariah scouted the area, his hand sheilding his eyes from the sun, looking more red due to how horrible the shape of the world was in.
A few crushed houses, a factory near the forest of the edge of the town and he did pass an old farmhouse on the way into town also.
A motel down off the road a little ways away and a few broken down stores near there. This was a small town, but he wondered why this place would have a mall. And how long has it been abandoned before the apocalypse started?
"Okay, i say we head east and check out that broken down factory i saw on the way in here, near the forest" Jess says with a nod
He watched as Jess scouted the area, making sure not to stare directly at the sun. He then looked around the area a little bit himself. He hadn't left that mall in at least a day or too and he was hoping to spot something that wasn't entirely collapsed or raided but you could never tell.
"o-okay s-sounds l-like a p-p-plan.." he responded back to him, his bag swung over his shoulder as he looked off.

Jess headed down the road with his new…acquaintance. Not fullyntrusting him still, but henalso wasnt threatened by him.
The air got a little colder bu the second. He made sure not to kick any rocks or make any noises along the way. Only the soft sound of their breathe and the rubble underneath their feet.
Finally reaching where they needed to be, Jez looked up to the smooth concreted building. Cracks everywhere, vines and all sorts of plants were overgrown and covering the building.
He stepped inside through the bent metal doors, not having to actually open them as one was laying on the ground in three pieces.
Inside, it was pretty empty on the first floor. Things thrown everywhere and most of them had blood on it. Looking as if it came straight out of a horror movie. Which in this case, it basically did
Up on the second floor, Serenity backed away from the screamer as it came toward her. She still had the kitchen knife tightly in her grasp, though the screamer had chased her up here from the first floor. It came closer, ready to go for the kill, but got distracted when Mocha barreled into it's side. It let out a horrifying screech that echoed throughout the room.
He watched as they approached the building, walking just behind Jess and watching as he approached it and the way he had looked at it. He walked into the building right after Jess, well okay hesitantly he walked in. He saw the items on the floor covered and blood and a shiver ran down his spine not being much for violence.
Then he heard the screamer.
He froze in place for a few seconds, it had come from upstairs.
There was no way he was going to go upstairs.
He should run right? Or should he hide? He moved his frozen body, just a step backwards.
A high piched ringing sound replaced the scream in Jezariah's ears. He bent down for a second and cupped his ears, wincing in pain. It made his head ache and his mind spin.
His eyes strained ooen after a second and he realized what was happening.
"Okay…." Jess said in a soft voice, still in a bit of pain. "That scream had to come from the second or third floor. If it did scream that means someone else is most likely nearby. You can stay here and hide but im going to go help whoevers up there." He says running towards the nearest staircase. Which happened to be old rickety metal planks basically melted together.
He felt horrible about staying down here whole they went upstairs to fight, he still just nodded along and watched as he went upstairs.
He went to hide behind something making sure he couldn't be spotted from the windows, holding himself in a tight grip.
Serenity was breathing heavily. Her muscles and wounds ached, her vision was starting to blur, and her legs felt like they were going to buckle underneath her, but she charged at the screamer anyway. Well, more like stumbled. After hours of running from screamers, and all the blood she'd lost on the way while having no time to tend to her injuries, she was exhausted. Unfortunately, she missed the screamer entirely, and it swiped at her, knocking her back against the wall, the knife skidding across the floor. The last thing Serenity saw before losing consciousness was a blurred figure appearing at the top of the stairs.
Angel and Corwyn ran out the doors of the local supermarket, three screamers trailing behind. The blonde girl pushed the doors closed and helped her friend shove over a nearby shelf, effectively blocking the door. The duo high tailed it out of there and back to the church they stayed in. Even though Angel would have preferred to sleep outside, it wasn't safe to stay out in the woods anymore. Not with those things around.
"Did anything follow us? " she asked, slipping inside. Corwyn looked back as he closed the door behind him. "Not that I can see."

Jezariah stumbled up the stairs with the blood pounding in his head when he saw the girl go unconsious and the screamer making its way to her body, ready to rip it up.
Hopefully he would be able to save her. And thats what he thought as he ran towards the screamer with two machetes in both hands and a rope around his shoulder.
The screamer turned its head at an unearthly angle at the heavy sound of Jess's footsteps rushing towards it.
As it ran towards him he slid like he used to in baseball, reached the base anx winning the game with a home run (i have no idea how baseball works lol)
But this time he was sliding underneath the screamer as he wailed in pain and its insides spilled out onto the floor, and unfortunately Jess.
It stumbled around and let out a faint screach, obviously not done yet.
Jess slid a machete over to Nikko while still keeping the attention of the nightmare that stood before him. He took a firm step.forward, the adrenaline making him forget about his earlier wound, slashing at the screamers head. Missing, he looked over to Nikko, hoping he would ambush him and swing this things head off.

Nikko noticed the machete had slid over to him, he stopped cowering and reached for it, holding it tightly in his hands and swallowing his fear and aniexty, slowing his breathing down and taking off his bag and setting it down so it wouldn't weigh him down. He slowly and shakily and sneaked over to it and brought the machete down on the neck of the screamer hoping to slice its head off.
(He killed it didnt he? XD)
Jess let out a heavy sigh, still holding tight to his machete. "Good job my man" he says wiping off the black goo like substance off his hands.
Looking over to the unconsious bodynof the girl bear the wall, he stumbled over to her and knelt down, checking her pulse and sitting her up.
"Shes still alive. Shes bleeding out but not too much. I think she passed out from a concussion" he says looking around for any water.
"Yo, you got medical training. What should we do?" He looked over to Nikko
Nikkō had to stand there and process things for a few seconds before he finally registered that he killed it. "I..d-did?" He dropped the machete and went over to the unconscious girl.
"Well we need to disinfect and bandage all of her wounds at the very least." He got out his supplies, starting to treat her visible cuts. He would disinfect the wound and then apply the bandages and if there was any horrible wounds he would stitch later.
"We can worry about disinfecting later. Infections wont kill her if she didnt get bit. We gotta stitch her up before she bleeds out." He says moving the hair out of her face. She was still breathing…barely.
"Damnit" he mumbled under his breath.
Mocha padded up to the two newcomers and sniffed at them tentatively. After a moment, the dog decided they were alright, and turned to Serenity, nudging her gently. She whimpered, and laid down with her head resting on the girl's leg.
