Wow, this guys' a bummer Arlo thought to himself "Well, I guess there's no use in small talk then" he shrugged. Though silence wasn't really what Arlo preferred, he wanted Remi to be as comfortable as possible. He wasn't losing that bet, so silence it was. He walked in silence, looking for more food stands, occasionally eyeing behind him, to make sure Remi hadn't left him alone. He was suddenly struck by the sweet and nutty scent of hominy corn, it was such a flavorful scent he couldn't help but gasp "Oh my" he spotted the stand "Have you ever tasted spiced corn soup?" he asked " Or is this going to be your first time?"
(I'm just waiting for a Ardoin to react to James falling behind them)
(I'd been trying to wait for Ash but I'll get a post up)
Fio let out a quiet laugh. "I'm not that much older than you, brother dear." he replied, smiling softly as he looked over at his two siblings. They weren't as close as they used to be, and he knew it was his fault, but he wasn't quite sure how to mend that gap. Or even if it could be mended.
Emilio chuckled, tapping Fio's nose. "Ah but 'brother dear' you're missing the key bit… You're still older than me!" He sang, getting tired of the same old walking speed, he wanted to get there faster. "Hey brother dear, sister dear! Race me!" And he took off.
Lou, who had been daydreaming about both the party and her latest story while her brothers talked, snapped to attention as Emilio started to run. A smile spread across her face as she broke into a sprint, catching up with her brother. “I hope you’re prepared to lose, brother!”
(Wait I thought James fell near the Ardoine estate?)
(Me too, I'm a lil confused)

"Not a chance m'lady!" He laughed as he added a boost of speed to his run, a carefree smile on his face as he ducked into an alleyway, hoping to loose his sister and take a shortcut. It would be pretty easy to find him though, if you just followed the laughing.
@Purple-like-Plums @The-Tower Oh sh- yes, he did fall in front of the Ardoin estate, my mistake, I fixed it tho
(sorry!)
Fio laughed quietly, jogging after his siblings and shaking his head slightly. He was going to lose, and he didn't mind. He just wanted to keep them in view; it was their first Mardi Gras, after all, and he didn't want to lose track of them. That could be…disastrous, for all three of them.
By the time she had noticed Emilio's shortcut, Lou had already passed the alleyway he had ducked into. However, she dashed for the next alley she saw, hoping that they both opened into the same street. As the smells of food grew stronger, she only grew more determined to win.
As she sprinted into the street, she saw Emilio run past, and she grabbed at the back of his shirt to slow him down, her fingers just missing the fabric. She grinned as she peeked back for a moment to catch a glimpse of Fio, jogging far behind.
Right as Lou turned to catch him, he turned around and picked her up, hands under her armpits like a cat. "I think I won, Fio lost, obviously." He chuckled, trying to take a few deep breaths to calm his giggling. "Let's wait up for the man, he's probably having a hard time with his old man bones."
Lou gasped as she was lifted into the air, then looked down at her brother. "That's cheating, you can't pick me up!" Taking another glance back, she let out a giggle. "He should have a cane for his old, creaky joints," she agreed. "That's a birthday present, right there."
Now starting to catch her breath, she attempted to wiggle free of Emi's grasp, only to fall to the ground, landing flat on her back. It wasn't enough of a fall to knock the wind out of her, but she lay there for a few moments, giggling as she stared up at the sky. "My legs hurt," she groaned, turning her head to check on Fio's progress down the street.
Fio caught up with them, shaking his head a little bit. "Don't hurt each other." he said, laughing a little bit. "Wouldn't turn out well for anyone involved, I don't think."
