“That’s really nice. I grew up in an fabricated life of everything having to be perfect and glamorous and the best. Simplicity is really just.. truly more refreshing and honorable than any mighty title you could give one.” She rambled on, then quickly shut herself up, focusing her attention on the path ahead of them.
He smiled in her direction. "I dint live at the main manor with my family, I come and go so often, I asked my father for a small abode of my own. It's just here." He said getting off his horse and leading him away from the large building in the middle of the land. A few short minutes later, they stopped at a small cottage type house with a few merchants all around.
((Sorry for the late response, I’ve been sick and didn’t feel that my response quality would be worth it lol))
Lydian got off Farasha and led her along as she followed Liam. She kept watching over her shoulder, more or less a tick she had because of her profession, but still managed to take in the place. Several comments formed on her tongue, but she let them fade away, figuring now wasn’t the time to bring them up. She overall just seemed somewhat lost in thought as they approached the cottage.
(Lol, that's fine!)
Walking up, the door opened and a young boy came to greet him "Sir Alexander! You're back!" Liam smiled at the smiling young child "of course I am Nathaniel, I told you I would." He turned to face Lydian. "This is Nathaniel, a 6 year old boy I took in after I saw him being abused by the bakery man for stealing bread. He has been living with me for over 4 months." He said, picking the child up and turning to face the door again "shall we?"
((Omg- I’m not freaking gushing out loud over how cute that is, you are))
Lydian smiled as she heard about the boys backstory, and how Liam took him in. “Well, it’s very nice to meet you Nathaniel!” Her voice sounded cheery, which was how she felt, but her actions seemed to fall short, as she never really knew how to conduct herself around children. After trying to regain a grip on her composure, she nodded in Liams direction, “After you, Sir.”
(blushes idk I felt that a 6 year old named Nathaniel would immediately bring a cute, bright eyed little boy to mind!)
Nathaniel waved shyly at the young lady who had just come in. He hid his face behind Liam's, setting his head on his shoulder. Liam chuckled softly "I think he likes you." He said, looking up at Lydian with bright eyes. Walking inside, a young maid came to the two beings at the door and offered to start up a bath for each of them "I do t not require a bath, I may just change my shirt. My Lady kn the other hand…" he trailed off, looking at her intently, silently asking if she wanted to freshen up before meeting him.
