Adam walked into the coffee shop early in the morning, hoping Cyrin was working
The coffee shop was unexpectedly busy and Cyrin seemed to be making four coffee’s at once, as well as on the phone, trying to get a few co-workers to come in to help. “Look, Sandra, please. There’s so many people-“
Adam winced when he noticed how busy it was. He stood there for a moment, considering coming back a different day and avoid giving Cyrin more work to do
Cyrin looks to Adam, and smiles before handing a couple their drinks.
S**t, he saw me
Adam joined the line, and glanced at the menu. He still knew practically nothing about ordering coffee…
Cyrin smiles, handing out more cups.
Finally, Adam got to the front of the line, but he still had no idea what to get. "Uhhhhhhh….."
Cyrin laughs, leaning against the counter, “Nice to see you, but youdon’t strike me as a coffee drinker.
"Not really…" Adam smiled slightly. "Can I get a croissant and some tea?"
He nods and turns, grabbing a croissant and handing it to Adam as well as a tea.
Adam handed him some cash, and took the croissant and tea. "Thanks!"
Cyrin nods, “You’re welcome. . .”
Adam sat down at one of the nearby tables and took a bite of the croissant. He liked the vibe of the coffee shop, it was small yet comfortable, and warm.
And busy, he’ll, so busy. It was incredibly busy, but it was slowing down. He relaxed slightly when he saw Sandra walk in. He smiles in thanks at her and goes to making the coffees while she takes the orders.
Adam finished his tea and decided to stay for a tiny bit longer, he didn;t have anywhere to go after all.
After a while, when the rush died down, Cyrin walked to the table and sits down, “Busy. . .” He grumbles.
Adam smiled. "Yeah, I can tell. Is it like this every day?"
“No.” He hums, “If it was, I wouldn’t have been trying to drag Sandra here.”
"That's… fun."
“Absolutely wonderful.” He deadpans.
Adam chuckled. "Yeah, seems like it." he took a bite of the croissant. "This is really good, by the way."
Cyrin nods, “Thanks, I think?” He chuckles.
“We get them from the bakery across the street.”
"Oh- I didn't know people did that." Adam grinned. "Maybe i'll start going there instead"
Cyrin huffs, “No. You can’t. I’d be lonely during my breaks.”
"Oh?" Adam set down the croissant. "You'd miss me?"
