The lady hummed softly, typing. “Alright… how long would you like to foster him?”
The lady hummed softly, typing. “Alright… how long would you like to foster him?”
"Well, I want to know how he reacts to my home and maybe adopt him… So, two months!" Marrin said, all this smiling was hurting her face.
“Two months it is. His things are in his room, and you’ll have to pay a smaller fee than small children, since he is a teenager.”
"That's a-okay! How much is the fee?" Marrin asks, brushing away her bangs.
“It’s about a thousand. Because we charge five hundred a month. Honestly, if it were me, honey, I’d adopt him and keep him for a smaller fee. He hates it here, you can see it in how he acts.”
"What's the fee for adoption?" Marrin asks as she pulls out her wallet and smiles happily. She knew Anie would be happy when she got back.
“The adoption fee for teenagers is two hundred. But I can give you a discount of one-fifty, if you’d like.” She smiled up at him.
"Awesome! Can I please get the discount? What do I need to sign?" Came Marrins barrage of questions.
“Yes you may. The papers are right on here, let me grab you his file, too.” He rose and walked over to a filing cabinet. She pulled out a slim folder and set it down in front of Marrin.
“Here’s his basic information.”
"Okay!" She signs the papers and grabs the folder. She flips it open and reads for a bit "How many times has he been fostered and such?" He asks the women.
“He hasn’t been fostered before. The only other place he’s been is at his original home.” She smiled back.
"Hmm… He seems closed off. Is there a reason for that?" Marrin asks, what she lacks in social skills she makes up for in perception.
“We don’t know. We think he’s been abused in some way, though. He showed us cigarette burn scars on his chest when he was a child and he trusted us.”
Marrin gets lost in thought. "Okay, can I bring him home today?" She asks, eagerly waiting for a response. Mostly because her motorcycle is parked in an alleyway….
“Sure ya can. He doesn’t have much to pack. It’d take about twenty or ten minutes.” The lady smiled and paged Met up to the front.
"Awesome! I need to grab my bag from the room where we were talking. So, excuse me." She says as she walks back to the room.
The lady nodded and collected the paperwork, humming. Met glanced up warily when Marrin entered.
