Marrin noticed a small male, he looked about sixteen or seventeen. He stands up and walks over to the guy, sticking out his hand. "Hi, I'm Marrin." He introduces himself smiling.

Deleted user

Met glanced up and ungrudgingly took their hand. “Hi. I’m Met.” He shook his hand a couple times before pulling away. “Are you here for a younger orphan? They’re much sweeter.”

Deleted user

Marrin wrinkled his nose. "Nope, I'm looking for an older orphan. Someone around middle teens." Marrin explains. "Little kids are great, but not the age I'm looking for."

Deleted user

Met crossed his hands over his chest. “There are a few. They’re back at breakfast, though, probably making a mess.” The oldest orphan other than himself was an annoying pair of twelve year olds. Met didn’t mention this.

Deleted user

"How old are you?" Marrin asks, he really didn't want someone to mess up his apartment… Well, more than it already was. He hated messes but always found himself in the middle of one.

Deleted user

“Sixteen.” Met sighed softly. “Seventeen next week.” He shifted in the seat, trying to sink deeper into the seat.

Deleted user

"Already an adult huh?" Marrin says. Small talk was not his specialty, at all, in any form. "So… What's you favorite color?"

Deleted user

Met paused. No adult had ever called him an adult, nor asked his favorite color. He wasn’t sure what he thought.
“Er… I like teal. And pink.”

Deleted user

"Cool, I'm more a fan of steel grey," Marrin said, preparing another question. "What's your favorite drink? Mine is tea."

Deleted user

“I… I like milk. I haven’t had much more than it, though.” He rubbed his chin a little. “Gray is a nice color.”

Deleted user

"Milk is good, do you like chocolate?" He asks, growing a bit more excited. This kid was perfect!

Deleted user

Met shrugged. “I like chocolate in a physical state, but not a liquid. Well, I could drink it liquid, but we never get it. If we do it goes to the younger kids.”

Deleted user

"I love chocolate! Okay, what about…" He thought for a moment. "What is your favorite candy?" He asks, clapping his hands.

Deleted user

Met shrugged. “I dunno. The last piece of candy I’ve had is when I first came here. A volunteer gave it to me to try and calm me down. I don’t remember what it is.”

Deleted user

Marrin had a strange look on his face. "Then you are in luck! I have a huge sweet tooth so I always have candy on hand!" He pulled out some hard candies and gum from his bag. "Take your pick!"

Deleted user

Met gazed down into the bag. “Er… what do you suggest?” He didn’t want to choose something that he didn’t know about, which was basically the whole bag.

Deleted user

"Well, the peach candies are good and the gum lasts longer." Marrin says as she looks down into the bag too. "The tootsie rolls are really good too."

Deleted user

Met blinked and grabbed a piece of the candy. He unwrapped it slowly and ate the stick of chocolate, chewing awkwardly around the sticky chcolate.

Deleted user

"Do you think it's good?" She asks, looking at him eagerly and popping a peach candy into her mouth. ""If you think it's good, I have a bunch that you can have!"

Deleted user

Met nodded slowly and finally swallowed the candy. “It’s weird, but good.”

Deleted user

"Yay!" Marrin clapped her hands together. "It does have a bit of a strange texture."

Deleted user

Met nodded. “It is weird, but I’d eat another.” He glanced back down into the bag, poking around in it.

Deleted user

"I'll be right back!" Marrin said, getting up and leaving the bag as she walks out the door. She makes her way to the foster desk and smiles widely. "Hi! Can I maybe foster the male named Met?"

Deleted user

(Fostering and adopting are two different things~)

The lady at the counter looked up. “Sure you can. How old is he?”

Deleted user

(I know, I was thinking that people usually foster before adopting… I do that with dogs…//
"Sixteen, almost seventeen!" Marrin informed her, the smile still wide.
