Vaughn nodded quickly and slipped into the backroom. He collected his clothes then went into the bathroom. He changes back into a white button up, black trousers, a black suit jacket, and black tie. He ran a comb through his hair, fixing it neatly. He came out a few minutes later, walking over to where the woman was sitting. He sat in a nearby desk chair, leaning back slightly. “I seem to have forgotten, but what was your name, again?” He asked hesitantly.
"Arabella. But you can just call me Bella." She stated. "You're Vaughn, right?"
(May have to go in a few minutes, so I’m sorry if I randomly vanish!’
Vaughn nodded slowly, glancing down at his tie, which he adjusted. “That’s right.. Why are you helping us, Miss Bella?” He asked.
Haven blearily stumbled out of the room. What's with all the interruptions tonight? she thought, before seeing Bella on the chair. "Woah. I fall asleep for two hours and miss some big stuff apparently," she said, rubbing her eyes. "What's going on?"
"-Just Bella." She said, her eyes on her hands. She looked up again and answered. "Well. I hate the government and the bad things it does, not to mentions the horrible way the president treats us. Well I was fed up, and wanted to leave, but didn't ever get the chance to, until you showed up. I thought that with helping you, you could help me, and we could bond. –Er, I mean, like, become friends." She grinned.
Vaughn’s jaw clenched slightly. He always referred to women in that way. If he learned one thing from his mother, it was to be respectful towards women. His lips twitched into an anxious frown at the idea of becoming friends. He didn’t tend to make many friends, he believed Haven was his only one a the moment.
//look, I show up and I gtg ^sigh^ feel free to drag her around and if need be, @Opia u can control her for a bit
(Aye. So I guess whoever wants to say something can continue?)
(Idk you should say something, or Haven could idc)
“How do we know you haven’t got this entire place surrounded with snipers?” She asked, crossing her arms.
"I don't go outside, you'll see. I'm alone." She responded.
Vaughn fidgeted with his sleeve as he listened to the interrogation, staying quiet and letting Haven do her thing. He was more of a “hurt first and ask questions after” sort of interrogator, but he was unsure of what to do because he didn’t like hurting women in any way.
“I could go check?” Vaughn suggested, sitting up slightly in his desk chair.
She looked at him, then outside. “If you want to.”
Vaughn nodded in response. He pushed to his feet and dug under the counter for a moment before pulling out a pistol. He loaded it and walked outside, slowly stepping around the perimeter of the building.
Arabella watched him go, smiling because of course, nobody was out there.
Vaughn walked back inside a few minutes later, shaking his head a sigh he put the gun away. “I didn’t see anyone,” he said, throwing a glance in Bella’s direction.
"I told you, there's nobody out there! It's just me!" Arabella said.
Vaughn gave a nod and sat back in the desk chair, leaning back, shoulders slouched. “Mhm..” he responded with a hum, really unsure of what today. There was no one out there, and she already told them why she was there in the first place.. “How do you plan on getting us away from here?”
