"Kailey found this map." She turned back to it.
"Kailey found this map." She turned back to it.
“I feel like something really bad is going to happen.” Kailey said blankly, then she said, “It’s for the safety of the country.”
"Oh. can I do anything to help?" Arabella asked.
“Nope. It’s all good.” Kailey grinned.
Lucky for Haven, the President was an idiot. A summons came through the prisons, summoning guards for some sort of ceremony. “I’lol be right along,” she muttered to the guards next to her.
Vaughn arched a brow as he watched. Once the other guards left, he looked at Haven with suprised eyes. “What the hell are you doing here, you’re going to get hurt,” he hissed.
"You sure? cause right now I have nothing to do and I would love to do something, anything other than paperwork." She asked, a pleading look in her eyes.
Kailey raised an eyebrow, “Well I guess you can help me map out the places where the guards should guard.”
“I’m busting out, duh,” she muttered, pulling a lockpick out of her pocket.
//kinda op but I couldn’t figure out another way to do it so :/
Vaughn exhaled sharply and nodded, watching her.
She struggled with the lock for a moment before opening it and walking in.
“Good, you’re in here, help me get out of these annoying change before the guards come back, “Vaughn said quick;y.
“Give me a second, picking locks doesn’t take three seconds,” she said, working through one of the ones on his arms.
(I totally forgot to respond to this, I am so sorry.)
Vaughn’s eyes went between Haven and the hallway, constantly on alert for guards as she worked.
Arabella lit up. "Ok!" She said.
Jackie stepped aside so Arabella could join them in front of the map. "We have some extra forces around this area," she pointed,"but the city's big."
A moment later, she was done. “And now we run for our lives,” she laughed, stepping back.
Vaughn rubbed at his wrists and nodded. He jogged from the cell, glancing up and down the hall. “We can go out the way you came in, which way?”
"Mhm." She said, thinking.
Vaughn rubbed at his wrists and nodded. He jogged from the cell, glancing up and down the hall. “We can go out the way you came in, which way?”
“Down this hall,” she said, leading him down a hall. They were almost out when it seemed the President’s speech or whatever had ended, and guards flooded back to their posts.
“Shit, we have to go, now,” Vaughn hissed, his pace quickening.
She broke into a run, then slowed again. Her leg still hurt, and running caused more noise than walking at the same speed.
Vaughn jogged in a quick pace. “Do you happen to have a gun on you?”He asked.
“Yeah,” she said. “Want it?”
“Yes please,” Vaughn said quickly.
