"It would take at least 6 more bottles to get me drunk, and that's if I chug them nonstop. High metabolism," Sam said as he chugged the bourbon in just a few seconds. He set the bottle down with a clink

Lucy’s brows raised in suprised. “I’m impressed,” she commented, finishing the rest of her coffee in a quick drink.
"Nothing impressing. Just the way I'm built." Sam got up, deciding he needed more coffee. He went to the machine and poked it, trying to figure out how to use it. "Um…A little help?" Cassiel, who had been trying to go back to sleep, finally stirred.
"Can I have tea?" he asked
“Now you want help?” Lucy asked, fidgeting with the sleeves of her sweatshirt. God, she would do just about anything right then. She considered going to the orphanage to prove herself. She wanted to smack herself at that thought, she wouldn’t resort to violence.
Sam gave Lucy a look. He meant it to look annoyed or irritated, but it just looked sad. Cassiel slithered into the kitchen, looping himself into a chair. He seemed to be enjoying himself despite being covered in burns and scratches
Lucy sighed sharply and got up, setting her cup down. “Alright, alright,” She said, tempted to throw in a quick Damn you. He was lucky she was the sympathetic type. She motioned for him to watch as she poured water into the machine, then put coffee grounds in a filter, then slipped it into the basket. She slid the compartment back into its place and clicked the on button. “There, now give it a minute or so.”
"Okay." Sam stood there, watching the coffee machine. "Sorry for making you teach me how to use this thing," he muttered.
"Would one of you make me tea? I currently can't use magic and I don't have arms," Cas called, flapping his wings for emphasis. Sam sighed, muttering something as he got a cup and a tea bag down. It took him a few tries, but he managed to heat his hand up enough to warm the tea without having to figure out how to use the microwave. He set it next to Cas, who made a noise half between cooing and hissing as he said something to Sam in a foreign language. Sam rolled his eyes, saying something back, and Cas chuckled. His mask lifted up a little, and a large, needle-toothed mouth was visible as he bent down to drink the tea
Lucy exhaled slowly and forced a polite smile. “It’s fine, now you can do it on your own,” she said, walking back to the table. She picked up her mug and brought it to the sink, rolling up her sleeves as she began to wash it out. She chose to not acknowledge the strange noises/language. It wasn’t any of her buisness.
The coffee finished brewing, and Sam grabbed his cup and filled it again before sitting down next to Cassiel. "How are the others? How's the city?" he asked. Cas shrugged.
"A disaster, as was predicted. Gods are disappearing one by one, Lillith stole my rings and is using them to poach your citizens for sport, the coliseum has become a forced participation act, and the meltwood is growing stronger. At this rate Molhaven will be a dictator-run ruin before long. Unless, of course, we can restore you to power." Sam frowned.
"There's no way to do that, not now. You know that."
As Orion weaves around the table to get more ingredients, he puts just the right amount of honey in Cas's tea, pleasantly sweetening the herbal mix. Continuing to pile crepes onto an already overflowing plate, he summons a sprite to fetch him syrup from one of the maple trees outside. While the crepes are cooking, he begins to squeeze fresh lemons for lemonade, a favorite of his, and always tart.
In the same strange tongue, Orion joins the conversation. "I can help. Most are understandably afraid of amalgamations such as myself. My gods smile favorably upon me." It just now hits Sam that Orion is an amalgamation, which are generally seen as curses. No wonder he has low self worth.
"Not the point. We'd have to fight a lot of gods, and I don't want to put you through that."
"Not unless you had your soul key," Cas tittered
Replying, the answer that Orion gives shocks them all. "You are family now, and I don't leave my family out to dry. I will fight for you, and I will succeed, understand Sammy? I will always come to help my family." After this, Orion turns and begins to flip crepes again.
Lucy slipped away the bag slung over her shoulder. She went out onto the lawn before sitting in the grass, enjoying the quiet. She took apuot her spellbook, biting her bottom lip sharply before flipping back to the darker pages.
Lata sleepily takes a seat at the small table yawning. She hadn't slept that good in who knows how long. At Orion's small speech, Lata smiles at him. In the seat, Lata looks quite small in comparison to the large coat surrounding her.
(gtg, class starting)
(Bye)
(Backkkkk)
(10 minutes until I need to go again for 2 hours though ugh.)
(Oh noo)
(I return from the hell that is PE) Sam sighed. "Getting my soul key back will be difficult. And at this rate, I'll have to find it soon." Cas frowned.
"You haven't told them, have you?"
"Obviously not," Lata deadpanned, more awake now.
Sam gave Cas a look that seemed half irritated and half pleading. He said something in an odd language and Cas said something back, obviously a little annoyed. Sam sighed. "Long story short, I'm dying."
(SAMMY, NOOOOOOOOO)
(I almost screamed "WHAT THE FUCK" so loud)
