(Going to bed. Night)
(Night)
(oof I've returned and ready for feels)
(HOLY SHIT THAT WAS WILD)
(I KNOW AND I WAS SERIOUSLY ALMOST CRYING)
(MY BOY IM SO SORRY)
(SHIN COME BACK PLEASE)
(OH MY GOD I GO TO SLEEP FOR A FEW HOURS AND YOU BROKE ORION) Sam turned to Cassiel, eyes wide in worry and anger. "Fix him! FIX HIM!" he shouted at the god. Cassiel hissed, damaged wing flapping of its own accord.
"Why should I, he attacked me!" he spat indignantly
Lucy quickly checked Lata over for any cuts from where her clothes had been slashed. She turned her attention to Orion, doing her best to mentally reach out in an attempt to soothe his energy.
(ITS OK)
(JUST CASUALLY SCREAMING MENTALLY)
Orion's current state of mental distress is not in any way beneficial to Lucy. With the random emotional fluctuations and overwhelming fear, it is as if her consciousness is snapped back into herself, preventing her from soothing him. An unfortunate side effect of this was yet another headache.
(Same Iris, none of this is okay)
Lucy hissed sharply, and flinched at the sudden burst of wild emotions in Orion. She rubbed at her temple, grimacing as she did so. “Orion, you need to try and calm down!”
"You know what, I'll gut you here and now unless you FIX HIM!" Sam roared. The runes along his body crackled to life violently, and the whites of his eyes went black. His aura expanded rapidly, causing embers to materialize as the room was heated violently. Molten metal began to leak from his palms in large amounts, and the molten effect spread up to his elbows. Enormous blades of black metal extended from his hands, and he radiated a sort of burning authority that no one who valued their lives should ignore. Cassiel lurched back, away from the heat, which began to cause spots of burning on his body.
"Alright, alright, I'll help him!" Cassiel moved over to Orion, wincing at the various injuries he had sustained in just a few minutes. The runes on his chest sparked to life, and blue bubbly sparks began to surround him
Orion rapidly snaps back to his senses, and seems to….disappear?? None of the occupants are sure where he got off too, but they can still hear a steady drip of blood from somewhere in the room. Only when a drop lands of Sam's head does he look up, seeing Orion with his claws buried into the ceiling.
Sam looks up and immediately backs away from the general distance Orion could launch himself at. Cassiel turned around, hissing out of pain and irritation. "Stay still you worm! I can't help you if you keep moving!" Unfortunately for Cassiel, he has to manage to touch Orion to help him, but he most certainly doesn't want to be struck by those claws again. "Get down from their you insolent-oof!" Sam cut him off, punching him across the mask. It leaves a large burn mark that sparks and sizzles.
"Stop insulting him and FIX HIM!"
Orion seems to be calming down on his own now, breaths no longer panting, and his tail swaying instead of lashing. Blue eyes clearing, Orion starts to come back to himself. "Don, Don't touch me. Don't want to hurt anyone again. I, I'm sorry." Aura stilling, Orion seems to realize what he did to Cassiel. Dipping his head, he murmurs apologies, which would be unremarkable, except for the fact that Orion does so in the Old Tongue. Orion's wounds seem to be healing on their own, which shouldn't be possible without spells or potions. Cassiel is the first to realize what Orion must be. An A m a l g a m a t i o n . Incredibly powerful. Incredibly dangerous. Cursed beings, and ones that even the Gods know to fear.
A now battered and injured Cassiel looked up at Orion, one of his wooden horns cracking and splitting under the heat of Sam's aura. "I am a creature of healing. I may be able to lessen the damage done to you if you allow me," he offered warily. Sam was still angry, and a molten effect had spread all the way up to his neck and parts of his face. A faint glow is coming from his back, beneath his jacket and shirt. He seems like he wants to speak but doesn't trust himself to not turn Cassiel into charcoal
"I will heal. Save your strength. Even Gods can be felled by the right poison. I apologize for my outburst, and to anyone I injured during it." Orion is sorry. Slowly, he extracts himself from the ceiling, landing lightly on the floor. Most of his wounds are healed by now, fresh scars on top of old.
Cassiel nodded, torn between being sarcastic and angry or staying as far away as possible from Orion. He starts to back up, intent on leaving, but Sam grabs him by the throat. "Where do you think you're going?" Sam says, the tone of his voice turning to something a little more musical in his anger. "I do believe you have something that belongs to me." Sam's hand begins to burn a mark in Cassiel's throat, the wood crackling as Cas struggled.
"Let go of me, Samandriel, I was going to help him," Cas strangled out
“Sam, maybe you should just let him go, this is only causing more trouble,” Lucy said, struggling to keep her tone from trembling.
Orion barks out a short. "Sam! Let him go. He means no threat to this house." A quick glance revealed that Orion has flickers of blue magic in the air around him, ready if he needs to intervene between the two. Sprites flicker throughout the room, in iridescent colors. Even the Gods in the room cannot make out what they are saying, but they appear to be pleading.
Sam growled, angry. He was convinced that Cassiel was plotting something, but decided to listen to Orion. He dropped Cas to the ground unceremoniously, leaving a large burn mark around Cas's neck. He took a few deep breaths, trying and failing to calm himself. "I'm going out for a while," he growled, stomping out the front door and slamming it behind him. Cas lie on the floor, weak and in pain. They had used too much magic for the day, and all the burns and fighting the poison certainly didn't help. He curled in on himself on the floor, looping himself into a mass of scales and feathers
Orion, seeming torn, does the most pressing thing first. Ever so gently, he drapes a fleece blanket over Cassiel, knowing that warmth would help him recover. Before heading out he also places a tea cup next to the tired God. Stepping outside to clear his head, he starts tending to his plants, singing softly a song of strength and healing, with the sprites playing in his wake.
Cas makes a small cooing sound that sounds vaguely like the bird equivalent of purring. He rolls in the blanket happily. Outside, Sam is the complete opposite of happy. Out of anger he's somehow managed to topple two pine trees and scorch a clearing into the forest near the willow
