(OR WOULD YOU PREFER SAMMY, HMMMMM?
Also omg I would die laughing)
Ben shrugged. Not everyone was polite with introductions
Lata jumped into the conversation. "Just let him call you Sammmmmm. Please? He's gonna be living here with us so you're gonna have to get used to him!" she exclaimed.
Sam's eyes widened. "Wait, he's going to be living with us?"
(@Opia In another rp, Sam accused Lata of spilling lemonade on him and stuff so I kinda wanna rp that lol)
(Call him Sammy till he reaches his breaking point)
(Lata: NOOOOO, WE KIDNAPPED HIMMMMMMM)
Lata nodded. "Yeah."
Ben looked at the four in the room. It already seemed like this would be some heck of a family.
“He’s definitely not going back to the orphanage,” Lucy mumbled, standing back up and straightening her blouse.
Ben gave a relieved sigh. Thank goodness he would never have to go back to that terrible place. Mrs. and Mr. Quill were awfully terrible to him and his fellow magic users.
"Are you certain he came from the orphanage?" Slowly, the difference in Ben's aura was making more and more sense
"Look, I didn't go into that hell hole for nothing. I'm positive. I went with Orion literally just moments ago." Lata said, slightly irritated with Sam's questioning. The kid was even younger than her for that matter. Come on, give him a break, Sam.
(is this the part where I get to reveal that Ben's not a kid?) "I'm not sure he is what you believe he is," Sam said with a deeper frown than normal
(Idk, I'm just winging it lol)
"What is with you today?" Lata asked, irritated that Sam was so reluctant to accept a new member to the family. Usually even he wasn't this grumpy.
Ben froze, but covered it up with a confused look. Did he already see through my disguise…?
(Sure, if you want.)
“You’re joking, right? He’s what, nine or so?” Lucy said, frowning softly.
(wait ok so am I taking Ben over now?)
(okey dokey then) Ben suddenly started to smile. "Oh Sammy, what a predicament you've found yourself in this time." Sam seemed defensive all of a sudden, and runes began to crackle to life along his body.
"Hello Cassiel."
Lata stared at the boy standing beside her. "What the heck is going on?"
"You brought the damn second in command of one of my biggest enemies here," Sam hissed, getting to his feet. Ben continued to smile at Sam, almost creepily.
"Sammy, Sammy, Sammy," Ben tutted. "You've broken quite a few rules lately, haven't you?"
Lucy’s eyes widened in shock and she quickly took a step away from ‘Ben’, grabbing Lata by the arm and tugging her back as well.
Ben turned to Lucy. "Oh, you have nothing to fear. Samandriel on the other hand, well, he should be running for his life right about now."
"You're nothing but a lesser god, Cassiel. You have no way to harm me," Sam growled. Ben grinned at him.
"Oh, but we both know you aren't exactly at full power, don't we?"
Lata's eyes widened. He wasn't going to make Sam leave, was he? And what did he mean full power?
"I didn't ask to land here Cassiel. You of all creatures should know that. After what Inspa and her lackeys did to me I've tried my best to stay out of everyone's way."
Lucy’s jaw clenched, the words making her want to shudder. He was right, Sam didn’t seem to be himself completely.
Lata simply stood next to Lucy, surprised and confused.
Ben rolled his eyes. "Why do you think I'm here? I hate them as much as the next person, and you've gotten yourself into such a disaster that even Damascus wants you back. Not that I want to help you after what you did to Balthazar."
