(just gonna leave a random response bc boredom exists)
The reapers sat off to the man's sides, Advocate folding his arms and Echo reaching for a handful of pastries. Sam squinted at the man, whose pale red eyes fixated on the guardian. He stayed silent for a moment, waiting for the others to sit down before speaking. "Samandriel, Samandriel," he began, his serious expression turning into a light smirk. "Welcome home."

Echo smiled at Lata. He leaned over to her. "Hey, you wanna see a magic trick?" he asked. Advocate seemed to scowl at him from across the table, and the tall man between them glanced over at Echo. The man sighed, scooting his chair out and rising to his full height. He seemed almost 7 foot, almost taller than Sam. He did a small bow, smiling.

"My name is Arik. Pleased to make all of your acquaintances."

Looking up at Echo, she gave him a look of confusion.
"Sure," she replied. As a magic user herself, it couldn't be all too new, right? But that didn't stop her from being interested.

Echo held up a disproportional hand, grinning. His entire arm seemed to be some sort of stitched machinery, and he opened his fingers. His entire arm dissolved into small particles halfway up her arm, and Arik shot him a look

Lata was kind of amazed by his trick, but her smile vanished as soon as it seemed that the man, Arik, was a bit irritated by Echo showing off. Lata considered using one of her illusions, but decided against it for the same reason.

Arik sat back down, folding his hands and resting his chin on top of them. "Now, down to business. You want back into the city, correct?"

@_sleeby_rat_

Arik raised a brow questioningly. “All? Are you serious?” he chuckled. “You’re sitting in the largest gate in the dimension.”

(whoops accidentally took a nap lol)
Lillith scowled at Lata, reaching up to flip her off. Sam shot her a look and she pouted, folding her arms and reaching for a bottle of wine across the table. Sam sighed, rubbing at his eyes. "My second isn't wrong. All the gates in the actual city of Molhaven are either destroyed or heavily guarded." Arik lit up, smiling smugly.

"Actually there's one gate left. It's the coliseum gate. Normally it would be heavily guarded, but they're letting up on security for tonight's event." He reached into his suit vest, pulling out a pamphlet and handing it to Sam. The guardian opened it, frowning. A mix of shock and anger began to work its way into his features.

"Well, read it out loud for the mortals!" Lillith huffed. Sam cleared his throat, running a hand through his hair.

"The Molhaven coliseum proudly presents the triple threat event of a lifetime. The demon prince Kaon, angel of Rome Pluto, and scourge of the first seas Balthazar will be pitted against each other in the universe-shaking fight of the millennium," he read shakily

(Lol relatable)
Lata frowned. It took a lot to shake Sam, so she assumed whatever this fight would entail, it would end badly. She began twisting the hem of her sweater due to the heavy tension in the air.

Sam cleared his throat again, setting the pamphlet down on the table. "Well. This, um." He seemed at a loss of words, but Lillith and Cas definitely weren't. They turned to each other, wide grins on their faces.

"Kaon! Never would I believe Kaon himself would end up in Molhaven!" Lillith said giddily, clapping her hands excitedly. "And Pluto, the last of the artificial gods! She's a legend!"

"Forget them!" Cas scoffed, though he was smiling the entire time. "Balthazar! They found Balthazar! I bet he's going to go full guardian and kick Fierte herself's ass!"

Orion, already still, had frozen at the pamphlets words. A soft, "Not again." Turning to the others, his eyes glow blue even from under the hood. Questioning, the one he asks shakes the room. "What are the rules for entering the competition?" Knowing that the competitors leave in shame, or dead. Cas cares too much for Balthizar, Orion won't let him be killed.
