(I is return!)
Orion bustles about, making tea and biscuits. Avoiding looking out the windows seems to be second nature for him. "The wards around the house will prevent them from entering, and they know better than to mess with my garden." Voice hushed, but ringing around the kitchen,
Sam nodded, hopping up on the counter and swinging his legs idly. He frowned. "I wonder…" he started before shaking his head. "Never mind."
Orion gives him a smile. "Speak your mind, Sam. It will do you no harm here."
He frowned a little, staring down at his lap. "The sudden appearance of creatures like this. It could mean Lillith is almost here."
Orion laughs. "Thunder children were here long before I was. I have shared the forest with them for longer than I care to remember."
"Yes, but-" Suddenly the windows shattered in a sort of silent explosion. Sam ducked down behind the counter, eyes wide and watching as the others were put in similar states of disrepair. His eyes flickered around the room, a faint glow creeping into his skin out of panic. Faint laughter could be heard, seemingly coming from nowhere and everywhere. It sounded like children laughing, and the lights began to flicker
Orion lunged for the rest of them, knocking them down to shield them. Standing, Orion looked damned pissed. With a sickening smile, he looks around. "Come on then, show yourself."
The lights sputter and die, plunging the house into an unnatural darkness. There's whispering beneath the laughter, and the same shadowy creatures that had circled Sam when he first regained his soul began to rise up, blocking out the windows and staring inside with their burning red eyes. The doorknob shakes for a moment before turning, the door swinging open agonizingly slow. The laughter begins to quiet, lessening to one voice. The voice of a little girl floating a few inches off the ground in the doorway, grinning widely. The shadows swirl behind her, blocking the light streaming in through the open door. She gives a final giggle, glowing red-orange eyes fixating on the group. "Oh Saaamyyy," she calls in a singsong voice. "It's time to go home."
Orion turns to her, and does something that no one expects. FIrst he slaps her, then he speaks. "Can you just fucking stop with the damned theatrics. We get it. You are trying to be scary. Wooooo. I'm fricking scared. You also broke my fuckin windows. So you need to chill with this whole demoness thing. Sit down. Have a cup of tea. Talk this the fuck out like a responsible person. Okay?" Orion's tone leaves no room for arguments.
Sam looks absolutely confused behind the counter for a moment, but then he breaks out laughing. He cackles loudly, pointing at the little girl. "Aha, ohhh, oh gods. That was amazing!" he said between fits of laughter. The shadows turn to the little girl, who is currently spluttering indignantly.
"How DARE you!" she screeched indignantly. The shadows near her materialized into tall, onyx-skinned women in white and gold, veils draped over their faces. A few of them were smiling, and the shadows outside quickly fizzled away. Sam got to his feet, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.
"Oh, oh gods. That was spectacular. I've been waiting eons for someone to do that," he giggled
Orion turns, makes a cup of tea, and sits at the table. "Sit. Drink. Don't give me that look, you know you deserved it. Now let's talk this out like rational people."
The little girl huffs, landing on the floor with a soft thud. She stomps to the table and sits down, crossing her arms and glaring at Orion. Sam stands, still grinning as he takes a seat across from the little girl. "So Lillith, my lovely second in command. How does it feel to get slapped by an angry cat man?" he snickered. The girl immediately flipped him off, scowling at him
Orion looked over at the knocked out Cas. "He's gonna be pissed he missed that. Do you want to talk now, Lilith?"
The women took up stations next to Sam, golden spears in hand. He waved them off. "At ease. There's no danger here." At this they relaxed, and one even wandered into the kitchen to look for something to snack on. Lillith pouted, a floating crown of thin black metal spinning lazily above her head. "I came for my guardian. It's time he comes home."
Orion looks at her strangely. "Alright. We come too though. Like I'd let him go off on his own right now. We did manage to get his soul key back though."
"Yes, I know. Cassiel told me," she said, glancing over at the god passed out on the floor. "But even if they hadn't told me, any god who knew left from right would have known. The energy rebound sent shockwaves through the multiverse, as would be expected by the most powerful guardian in the multiverse regaining his soul," she said smugly
Orion laughs at that last comment. "One of the most powerful Guardians. New information has come to light. I am aware of what happened, nearly burned down my damned forest doing so."
That seemed to confuse Lillith. "What do you…" Her face suddenly lit up, and she turned to Sam. "Ooh, does he have the mark? Did you check? Is he really a guardian like Cassiel said?" she asked giddily
//I saw the name Lilith and I was so confused like “what is my lesbian demon doing here” before realizing they were completely different people
(woah I missed some good shit right there lmao)
Lata sat in her chair confused. Sam was leaving…? She really hated the mood he had as of lately, but she would miss him. He was a part of their happy and unusual family after all.
Lucy sat down after checking over Cas worriedly. She thought that he would be fine. This child- no, other worldly being, just showed up in a hostile manner, and now they were all being friendly? And she wanted to take Sam away. This was shaping up to be on her list of worst days. And she had a lot.
Orion laughs. "Would you care to explain to the witches what you are talking about, Lilith?"
Lillith's grin lessened, and she rolled her eyes. "Ugh, fine." She stood up in the chair, putting her hands on her hips. "Listen well, mortals! You are in the presence of Samandriel of Molhaven, guardian of gods and god of guardians. I am his second in command and captain of the Molhaven guard, Lillith!" she said, as if she had rehearsed this millions of times. "He," she said, pointing at Cas, "is the second in command of Balthazar, guardian of the First World. And he," she said, now pointing at Orion,"is the last surviving guardian of life."
