Quinn looked over at where Aster was, the healer working on the other male.
Quinn looked over at where Aster was, the healer working on the other male.
Charlotte continued washing. When she'd finally gotten all the blood off, she carefully looked around and found a bandage to wrap around her arm.
The healer continued working carefully.
Charlotte took a breath and went over to where Quinn was.
Quinn had his arms crossed loosely, his lips pressed together in a worried frown.
Charlotte wrapped her arms around her stomach and stared at the ground.
The healer continued working.
(Time skip to after the healer dude is done?)
(sure. Want me to do it, or do you want to?)
(I can)
"And you're absolutely sure he'll be fine?" Charlotte queried for what must have been the 10th time. The healer had responded with a warm "yes" the past 9 times, but she still felt anxious.
The healer sighed. "Yes. Just keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't get an infection." He replied.
Aster was awake, blinking and looking around.
Charlotte took a few breaths and nodded. "Can we leave, then?" The healer's room made her uncomfortable
Quinn reached over and helped Aster into a standing position, putting the other man's arm over his own shoulder.
Aster was silent.
Charlotte chewed in her lip anxiously as she watched them.
Aster leaned against Quinn painfully, still not making a sound.
Quinn started walking, leading Aster towards the carriage.
Charlotte followed silently, biting her lip.
Quinn helped Aster sit down, looking down at the other male.
Aster looked up at him. "Thanks." He said softly.
Charlotte stood by the carriage door, waiting for Quinn to go in. She hugged her arms to her stomach, hoping it would help it stop hurting.
Quinn waved her inside. "Charlotte, I'm going to be riding Aster's horse for a while." He said.
Aster was silent.
Charlotte frowned slightly in confusion. "That's - er, alright," she stepped inside the carriage and sat down.
Quinn smiled. "Alright. You'll be in the carriage with Aster, so make sure he doesn't get hurt again, please?"
Aster rolled his eyes. "I'm not an invalid, Quinn."
Charlotte turned her laugh into a quiet cough and nodded. "I think he can handle himself, but er⦠I'll try," she told Quinn.
Quinn chuckled softly, and nodded, then shook a finger at Aster. "You can't walk on your own, stupid. That makes you an invalid. Be grateful." He left the carriage.
Aster rolled his eyes, leaning against the seat back tiredly.
"It seems the roles have reversed," Charlotte mused to herself, shutting the carriage door.
Aster looked at her. "What do you mean?" He asked softly.
