Sadie finished her cleaning, then headed upstairs to her bedroom. Opening the door, she saw her best friend Zoe standing in the middle of the room. A wide grin split her face, and she quickly looked back to make sure her stepmother wasn't coming back.

"Zoe, what're you doing here?" she asked excitedly.

Zoe smirked back "I came to tell you the news of course." She gave Sadie the paper. " The Winter masquerade is coming up. I was hoping your step-mom would let you go. " SHe said excitingly. "Even more exciting guess whose coming?!" She shrieked.

"Oh, that's so cool!" Sadie exclaimed, taking the paper and quickly skimming the info on it. Her breath caught when she read who the guest of honor was going to be. "Travis Blum?!?"

" I know right!" She exclaimed " Sadie you HAVE to come! Maybe we'll even get to dance with him." This was something Zoe was looking forward to. " I mean you and I are great dancers ."

"Heck yeah I'm coming! But I'm not dancing. You know how I feel about dancing in front of people," Sadie said, then raised an eyebrow at her friend.

" But, Sadie this can be your big chance, like maybe you'll become famous!" She exclaimed. She fished another paper from her backpacket. " Also here's your audition papers ." She added, handing them over to Sadie.

(Sorry! I'm back. I was eating lunch.)

"I'm not going to become famous, Zoe," Sadie shook her head. Taking the papers, she questioned, "What audition papers? What is this for?"

" There's a musical coming up, I thought you might consider auditioning for it." She replied. " I know I am."

"Zoe, you know I have stage fright. Besides, the Wicked Witch would never let go sign up," Sadie argued.

" Just… just think about it, please." Zoe pleaded before looking at the time. " Oh no, I should probably get home soon" She said in worry. She gave Sadie her supplies before going out the window.
