"And now you know." She smiled. "I told you, you bloom nicely, my flower." She inclined her head to him, leaning into his kiss like a cat.
"And now you know." She smiled. "I told you, you bloom nicely, my flower." She inclined her head to him, leaning into his kiss like a cat.
Marcus flushed, kissing her again. “I have..” he murmured into her hair.
Smiling, she looked up at him and into those gorgeous brown eyes. He had undone so neatly, so gently, she had hardly notice, in fact, she had desired it and enjoyed it. Winifred tossed the book to the side and took him by the face, her lips crashing into his.
Marcus’s hands snaked around her waist, tugging her close as their lips met for the hundredth time that day. “Kissing you… it’s like a dream..” he murmured into her sweet-tasting mouth, enjoying the rush of euphoria that came with.
"Having your hands around me…. that's like a dream too." She whispered. "But here we are…" Her hands trailed along the back of his neck.
Marcus shivered under her caresses, wanting more, needing more. “Here we are..” he echoed, teasing her lips open with his own. “I thought you were going to read to me..?” It was said to make her smile, to tempt her into kissing him deeper.
Winifred smiled with a soft laugh. "I was but… kissing you is so much more enjoyable. Now, hush." She leaned in more and kissed him deeper. She played with the curls of his hair, humming softly with pleasure.
((MERRY CHRISTMAS!!))
(Merry Christmas!!!)
Marcus’s heart thrummed at the new depth of the kiss, a smirk playing out on his face. His broad hands found her slim waist, drawing her closer still as his mouth worked itself against hers. The sweetened syllables of her name found their way onto his tongue. “Winnifred…” Oh, how he loved saying her name. He said it again, just for the sake of murmuring into her soft lips. “Winnifred..”
Her cheeks flushed as she groaned into the kiss. Being held by him was more than Winifred could take, her heart close to burst. But what sent her over was her name on his lips. She kissed him harder, her tongue slipping past his lips. Oh, he tasted so sweet. Placing her hands on his cheeks she groaned once more.
Marcus let out a soft sound of surprise, parting his lips slightly wider to let her in. His cheeks reddened when a groan slipped from her mouth, and his hands tightened around her waist. He couldn’t stop pulling her to him, couldn’t get enough, would never get enough of her. “I love you… Winnifred…”
"Love you….more…" She mumbled within the kiss. Her fingers slipped into his hair. From her side, she could hear the door open. A soft gasp escaped the butler who delivered their rolls and tea, and then a chuckle. "Young whipper-snappers…" he muttered as he left the items and exited. Winifred giggled into the kiss.
Marcus’s cheeks blazed, almost as hot as his love for Winifred. But he refused to pry his mouth off of hers, found himself unable to remove his hands from where they dug into her waist. It surprised him how much she trusted him, after everything that had happened with his asshole of an uncle, she still kissed him with this fiery passion. “I’m not sure that’s possible..” he murmured back.
"Yes it is." She replied. "I love you so much more than I could ever express. I would combust if I tried. But for as long as you'll have me, I'll do my best to show you. I love you, Marcus. Only you can pull me out the darkness and make me feel worthy of love. I love you." She had pulled away to say these things, to speak her heart. She looked into his beautiful eyes.
Tears glistened in Marcus’s eyes— no one had ever said anything like that to him. He lay a gently hand on her heart just so that he could assure himself it was still beating. “I’ll have ou for as long as you want me..” he whispered back. “Thank you for— for everything.”
Winifred smiled at him. "Don't thank me… I love loving you." She held him closed, wrapping her arms around him tenderly. "I can't wait until you get better, then I can hold you tighter." She said with a laugh.
He laughed back, kissing her jaw with care. “I can’t wait ether.. and I always need to thank you.”
"True…. I am great.." She smirked cheekily. She closed her eyes as he kissed her cheek, relishing the feeling of his lips on her skin.
“Mm, that you are..” he agreed, working his lips up her jaw to the tender spot where her neck and jawline met, humming against her skin.
((I'm not sure where this is going XD But if it goes to the far left, do you wanna skip or take it to the pms?))
She exhaled slowly, her body melting into his. She reached up ran a hand down his cheek. "Marcus, there's more tea and rolls…" She drawled.
(I’m not sure if Marcus’d take it that far, he’d be too afraid of hurting Winnie XD
Maybe she could read aloud to him)
He smirked, raising an eyebrow. He kept his hands at her waist, and his eyes flickered to the book she’d previously discarded. “Mm, there are, but I’m not hungry anymore.. read to me? Please?”
Winifred pecked his cheeks one final time. "Of course, Marcus… I mean, after all, you did say please." She laughed as she turned and reached for the book. She turned to the first page and cleared her throat. "Chapter 1…"
My Dearest Mary,
My heart aches as I write this letter to you. I, first and foremost, want to say that this is not what I intended for you. This is not what I want. I love you with all of my heart and I never wished harm to come to you. Alas, it has. This is why I must leave. I cannot stand by and watch you be hurt for my folly. I refuse to be the epicenter of your misery even if it earns me your hate.
Mary, I can no longer continue to stay here. I can no longer love you like this. We cannot be together. By the time you get here and receive this letter, it will be too late. I will be on my way to docks. Anything I leave behind you must sell or burn, do you understand? There can be no trace of me left in your life.
Please understand that I am doing this for your safety. That you may live freely, without the oppression of my transgressions causing you to be afraid. This is what must happen. They will follow me and let you go free. That was our arrangement from the beginning. Always remember that I love you.
Forever yours,
Daniel Reed
He could hardly see through the tears that blurred his sight. He sat at a desk illuminated by a single candle as his belonging were packed into a carriage that would take him to the docks where he would board a ship and sail far, far away from this place. His home.
It's all for her. He thought as he stood and blew the candle out. He watched the smoke rise and curled in the moonlight. Then it dissipated. Just like he would from Mary's memories, he told himself. She would move on and be happy. Or so he hoped, because there was no way he could come back here.
Marcus let out a soft sigh, sinking into the familiarity of the book. His lips moved along with the words she spoke, having memorized many of the lines by now. It was, after all, one of his favourite books.
Winifred continued to read, engrossed in the book as she retold the story of a man running from his love to safe her life. But then, she saw into the heart of strong woman who would not give up her love. She read chapter after chapter until her voice grew hoarse and her eyelids grew heavy.
Marcus gently removed the book from her hands, tilting his head to press gentle kisses to both her eyelids. "You look tired, my love. Rest," he told her softly, shifting so that she was laying back against him, however much it hurt his chest.
