Genevieve smiles. "It's all good. I've been told I'm quite naive, too."
Genevieve smiles. "It's all good. I've been told I'm quite naive, too."
"Well he's also very friendly, trusting, and excitable. I told him he should try to get the cute girl's number, as more of a joke, but he just gets up and interrupts the two of you, anyways." Lix said pouring Genevieve a glass and passing it over to her.
"I… um… is this alcohol?" Genevieve gives an awkward smile. "Sorry to be rude, I just don't really drink."
"Would you believe me if I told you it is water?" Lix sighs, "Do I look like someone who drinks? Honestly I can't stand the horrible taste of alcohol, it's literally poison."
Genevieve takes a sip to be polite. "Literally?"
Lix sighs, "Yes, literally, being intoxicated shares many symptoms of poisoning. Lose of balance and hurling are defenses you body naturally has incase up ingest poison." she looks down into the glass, "Maybe I just don't understand why humans almost insist on destroying their bodies. Especially when each one was specifically made and crafted with so much love and potential."
"Huh. Guess you're right." Genevieve says. "Wait- 'humans'? You say that as if you're… not human."
Lix laughed, "What would make you even think that? I just used it as a generalized term for most of the population." She glanced over Let's see where this goes., "Do you believe that there is such a thing as non humans?"
Genevieve smiles knowingly. "I don't know. Anything's possible, I guess."
"I'm not sure if the is open mined or naive of you. Anything Might be a bit too optimistic don't you think?" Lix questioned.
"I dunno. I've seen some pretty strange things in my time." Genevieve laughs.
"Strange, yes, but inhuman. I'm not so sure what you've seen could probably be easily explained away." she smiled seeing isn't believing.
Genevieve smiles back. "Where I live, people have just given up trying to explain away the weirdness and have just accepted it."
Lix sighed, "I personally believe people should never blindly accept something. It generally leads to pain that could have been easily been avoided."
"I guess Greyedge City is kinda hard to explain to someone who hasn't been there…" Genevieve mutters.
Nicola sat and watched the exchange, biting his lip and beginning to feel tears in the corners of his eyes. He hadn't been friendly enough. She wasn't talking to him. Was he too immature? Was his pink sweater too pink?
Genevieve glances at Nicola. "You alright?"
"Is my sweater really that pink? I can change it!" Nicola burst out sobbing.
Genevieve rushes over and hugs him. "Hey. It's alright. Please don't cry!"
Lix stood up came around and hugged him from behind, "Your sweater is the perfect shade of pink."
"It is?" He hugged Lix's legs and instantly brightened up.
"Yes, it is." She smiled a bit, Pure souls were so hard to find, she wipe the tears from his face, Even if I've fallen from grace I still can't help, but appreciate it.
((Yay! Hugs for everyone :D ))
"Do you like my pink sweater?" He turned towards Genevieve, eyes shining and glassy.
Lix also looks at her with a slightly threatening look You better say yes and not break his heart. He loves this sweater. She though to her self.
