Im making a character whos Muslim, but i myself, am Athiest. Can anyone help?

Just a smol question, how can you be technically Muslim? Just wondering out of curiosity.

lol, I'm not a practising Muslim, but I was born and grew up on the ideals. So while I'm still Muslim, I usually don't practice Ramadan or pray five times a day XD

@kirailove hi! Would you mind explaining the niqab and what do you wear under it? I'm writing a girl that lived in Saudi Arabia who's very religious and comes from a rich family.

Is it in modern times? If so, then I think a hijabi girl would be more appropriate rather than a girl who wears a niqab. Or possibly a chador, but this is just from my personal experience. Other than that, people nowadays just wear normal clothing underneath or some light clothing, like a shirt and jeans. Or just whatever your character's clothing style is :)

Hi! no problem, sorry I didn't reply earlier, missed your reply. So the Niqab isn't necessarily a way to express how religious you are, but rather a unique way to express your religion. If you are going to go down that path with the Niqab, make sure she is completely covered from head to toe, which, depending on what setting your story is in can get a little ridiculous. I agree with @ReallyBadAtUsernames that a hijab would probably be better. Whatever you decide hope I helped, and tell me if you need anything else!

I am curious I was looking up some dishes and they look amazing. Also wondering about the cultures architecture, and fashion. I've been checking a few sites out online and they are great but if I can get the knowledge from someone who may know, having that ancestry is even better than travel guides.

You do realize that you are being a complete racist and people like you are the reason that American's often get a bad reputation. Even though I disagree with the Muslim's religion, it doesn't mean they can't be decent human beings. I myself am Christian, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be a complete ass to people outside my church.

You don't even have to like Muslim's, but their is no reason to go out of your way to be antagonistic and aggressive. You will meet Muslims that are antagonistic and mean but that doesn't mean that everyone is a terrorist. That is a very toxic stereotype and you'll meet people like that from all races and religions. We're all human beings and we all deserve to be treated as such.
