(whipping dangerously? XD)
Clovis gently squezzes her hand before leading her out of the room and back to the others.
Molly turns around and glares hatefully at the two of them.
"We should get going." She states before angrily clenching her jaw.
(Molly ain't having a great time, y'all)
(Her tail has a razor sharp tip. Sorry. Forgot to mention that I guess. Also, my mom took my hoodies, so I'm dying. lol)
App noticed Molly tensing at her being close to Clovis, so she extracted from him and backed away cautiously, avoiding both of their gazes.
(I’m not even sure if Dareon is still holding Claire…)
Fiona laughed lightly "I'm not a fan of the blood but this will have to do for now." She kept thinking about Conner as much as she didn't want to. "So are you going back to your city?" She asked, tugging the sleeves of the sweatshirt over her hands as she climbed back over the display.
(I'm gonna time skip to the train station.)
The sun was almost at high noon when they finally reached the edge of town and the old train station. Erin new for a fact that the zombie hoards rarely came this far out of the city. It seemed instinctual for them to stay in the denser metropolis. All the same, that didn't mean there would be no zombies around at all.
"Here we are," she said, holding the door of the main office open for them all to come in. "There are bathrooms and other backrooms. Make yourselves at home."
(Now I kinda remember why no one really came back. I'm a tad confused as to the train station…. Where did that come from? Curious… So… They're all at the train station now?)
(all y'all are, Darren and Fiona are still not with the others tho)
(Oh okay that makes sense….)
Claire scratched at her scalp a little, noting its dryness and how oily it was. It had been so long since she had a simple wash that she nearly forgot what it felt like to be clean. "Um… I know this is kind of a strange thing to ask, but are there any showers here or something of the sort….?" I can't stand having another day like this…
(I thought I had mentioned in the chat when we were discussing the plot, and Erin said she was gonna take them to a train station near the edge of town while she looked for a safe house. Since we're thinking of them going to Claire's town, I'll have Erin take them that direction. I'm imagining they'll be out in the country//wildlands for a bit now, since they're leaving town. And of course that'll be dangerous and they might run in with zombies and bad people and stuff.)
Erin dropped her bag in a corner. "I think there's some old lockers here somewhere. So there might be showers nearby too. Let's take a look." she lead the way into the backrooms and started opening doors to see what rooms they lead to.
(actually it just occurred to me that they could probably follow the train tracks toward Claire's country? That makes sense so they won't just be wandering in a general direction.)
(Ooh yes I like that idea of following the train tracks. It makes so much more sense than just wandering in the middle of nowhere for days.)
Claire followed Erin back as she opened up doors to all these different rooms. "It's… Been quite a while since… Any of us have bathed, I'm sure…" She scratched at her head painfully. "And maybe there's some soap or something around? I'm not asking for high-quality… Just… Something to get me through." …I always say too much, don't I??…
App had been avoiding contact with Clovis the entire time to the train station. App heard Caire talking to Erin about showers and followed them, creeping up cautiously. "C-could I get a… shower too..? If there are any, anyways. I… kinda want to see what color my hair is…" She blushed and looked down, afraid of what the other girls might be thinking.
"I have some soap in my pack you can use." Erin said. "Here we are." She opened one last door and saw that it lead into a locker room. Showers lined the back wall. "The water might not be hot, but it should at least be running." she tested one and sure enough, the water turned on. "I'll get you girls some soap and see if I can find some towels or something."
"It makes sense…." Claire's lip flicked up in a smile. "It must be so dirty that the color's distorted…" After a little bit of scanning App, she frowned. I don't think I can ever recover that friendship… If she's just going to loose her memory again…
App squirmed uncomfortably. "Ummm… Could you… maybe.. help me? It's gonna be hard since I can't see the back of my head and…" She slumped. "Actually, I've never taken a shower before. I'm sorry. I'm being a pain."
"You mean…. Like… Ever?" Claire was nearly astonished. Poor App…. "Maybe I can, but… I'm not really sure how to. Because there's no way I'm showering in my clothes." She blushed a little bit.
App tilted her head. "Is it… embarrassing to take off clothes around other people? I'm sorry, I don't understand. Is that unusual?" She then shuffled. "And no… I've never taken a shower by myself…"
"W-Well….yes…." Claire said. "Maybe we can f-find a way around this problem, though." No, I have no idea how else we're going to do this… She bit her lip. "Maybe…." But if I just shower in my bra– that's the only one that I have that fits me and I can't get it wet!!! Claire sighed. "I don't know how we'll be able to do this without… It being awkward."
App thought about this dilemma. "I can always keep my back turned. Plus, I can…" Her tail swished agitatedly. She put her face in her hands and groaned, frustrated with herself. "I don't know!", she cried out into her hands, not even sure what the issue was. She sat down heavily, looking at the tile floor in dejection.
Claire felt bad about how terrible App felt… It seemed like all feelings were contagious in one way or another to her. "Or I can just tell you what to do…. Does that work?" Since that'll solve all these awkward problems and such….
App looked up. "That might work. You can tell me from the other stall…" She hopped up and her tail whipped upright. She smiled and bounced on her heels. "A real shower! This'll be… interesting." Then she realized she probably shouldn't be so excited.
"Alright then…." Claire lead App into where the rows of stalls were, and she gestured to one. "I suppose you can get in here…" Hopefully she won't be too scared about this… Claire got into the stall next to hers, setting the soap Erin gave her on a small barred rack.
Erin made her way back to the other and dug through her pack for soap and something to help them dry off with. "Us girls are gonna take showers, then you guys can have at it." she said, beckoning Jessica to come with her. Once back in the locker room she picked through the lockers until she found some old towels. They were dirty, but she decided she could wash them in the showers and they would be usable. "Here," she said, handing a small bottle to Claire. "It's very concentrated, so only use a few drops, or you'll have a bubble bath." She began taking Jessica's hair out of her ponytail. "Apollyon… are you sure your… mechanics… will be safe in a shower?" She wasn't sure how much artificial tissue the girl had in her body, but from the metal tail Erin could guess there might be wiring and other things that might not react well to getting wet.
Claire took the bottle, giving Erin a thank you before going into the stall. She undressed in the stall– although they were all girls anyways– and put her clothes where they wouldn't get all wet.
When she turned on the water, she let out a screeching howl. "It's so cold!!!" She screamed.
