Ender smiled and did so. "This is your favorite song?"
"Yeah!" Venus squirmed in an awkward chair dance motion. She turned to look at Ender, totally deadpan, "Do you like it?"
He laughed. "Well…it is my favorite so…yeah!"
Venus grinned and began her seat squirming dance again, her hair tangling around her face as she shook her head side to side in beat to the music.
Ender smiled and sang along.
They pulled into the drive-thru just as the song ended. They ordered their food and started the drive back. "So do you have any hobbies?"
"I play a lot of sports," Venus said, sipping on her Coke.
"Oh! Neat!" Ender didn't really like sports, but he wasn't about to tell her that. "What kinds?"
"Well, I play field hockey in the fall, swim in the winter, and run track in the spring. Maybe you could come and watch me (insert play/swim/run) sometime," she added.
"Sure!" Ender replied. "Are you in any Fandoms?"
"Yes," Venus chattered, "I love Harry Potter, Divergent, The Hunger Games and Star Wars!" She stopped. "What about you? What do you like to do?"
"I'm in Star wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Hunger Games. I've never read Harry Potter though…"
Venus gaped, "How?"
"My parents don't want me to."
"Oh. Ok, I understand." Venus thought for a second before changing the topic, "Do you do any sports?"
"Eh…I'm not really athletic. At all." He admitted. "I'm more athletic than my brother though." He thought for a moment. "Actually, I did start playing tennis when I was younger but we just didn't have the time I guess…" He trailed off.
(…I came up with a ship name for Venus and Ender…)
