Natalie isn't excited for the beginning of the school year. Her freshman year was nothing but losing friends and being annoyed by almost everyone. Summer break was a nice little break from dealing with all of the annoying people she'd have to put up with on a daily basis. Entering the school, she already had earbuds in, hoping that this school year won't be chaotic, but knowing that it will be.
Kate has never wanted to be in her happy place, her room, more than she does now. Entering the school behind a short girl with purple hair, she can't help but think about how cool it would be to have hair the exact same color. But, knowing her parents would never let her, and that she's pushing it with the navy blue tips, she pushes the thought away; wishing she'd brought her earbuds.
"Music can make anything more bearable." She mumbles under her breath, hoping that no one can hear her.
Violet stood by the water fountain, clutching her schedule and regretting wearing a dress. Everyone she saw walk by was wearing hoodies and jeans. She felt more out of place than ever. Her mom had dropped her off early so she would have time to find all her classes, but she was still lost.
Not a great start, but things would get better.
( @RiverTheSeawing, your entrance is next. )
Eliana walked past the water fountain, lost in thought. She was on her way to her class, so her friends were quiet. Though the silence was nice, it was also pretty eerie. The halls were unexpectedly quiet, as most people would be talking on the first day of school. Weirdly enough, she heard silence; maybe she was just tuning people out.
(Alright, everyone! Feel free to jump in when ever you want!)
"Um, excuse me," Violet called to the purple haired girl who had just walked by. (Not wearing a dress she noticed.)
"Can you uh… tell me where I am?" The girl looked a little unfriendly, but Violet needed answers.
Natalie didn't notice at first, but she soon noticed that someone wanted to talk to her. It was surprise for her to have someone talk to her. She turned around and faced the other. "Oh, well, at the moment, you're just at the entrance of the school. I can show you around if you need me to."
She looked over at the girl in the dress. "Are you talking to me or her?" She pointed at Natalie. "Regardless, I have a map in my pocket that you can borrow."
(Oh, the problems of having two characters with the same hair colour.)
Kate keeps walking into the building, hoping no one will talk to her, because even though she's good with directions, she's not a joy to be around in the morning. On her way to her locker, she sees a couple of people talking to other people, probably their friends. But for her, all her friends had already graduated. So, she was all on her own. Sighing under her breath, she finds her locker, and walks over to it.
"Oh thank you! Either one of you can help," said Violet, "I just need to know where… Mr.Turner's English class is."
Mumbling her combination under her breath, she somehow manages to open her locker. Looking inside, she sees that her backpack probably won't fit into of it. Sighing under her breath, she closes it, putting the lock back in place, and turns to walk to her first class.
Pulling out her phone and turning it on, she sees her schedule. Looking at the first block of the day she sees she has Mr. Turner for her English class.
"Today won't be as bad as I thought." She whispers, smiling slightly.
(Hey everyone, I was wondering, is it cool if we add more at least once a week? If you want a more loose schedule, let me know and I will change it.)
(Works for me.)
"I have that class too," she said, "so you can just follow me." She smiled as a way of showing she wasn't a threat and giggled a little. "Are you sure about helping her?" She looked over beside her at Marig and nodded.
Violet thanked her and followed her down the hall, this girl made her a little nervous, but she was being nice, and Violet was willing to forgive any oddity at this point.
"Are you a in 10th grade too?" she asked.
"Yeah," she said, "I am." When they got to the class, Eliana held the door open for Violet.
"Thanks," There were only a few seats left, mostly in the front. She chose one beside the bookcase, it was a huge bookcase, it covered the entire wall, but the series weren't grouped together. The 3rd Harry Potter book was 2 shelves above the 4th one. She moved them to the right spots and then looked around the room.
Kate walks to class, as quickly and as careful as she could. When she gets there, she sees there's only a few seats left. Taking a seat in the back of the classroom, she sets her backpack down against the desk, sighing under her breath. Sliding her phone into her hoodie pocket and setting her hands on the desk, she closes her eyes, silently wishing she hadn't forgot her book; in her rush to not miss the bus.
Eliana looked around, choosing to sit in the only remaining front-row seat. Even though she did have glasses, it helped to be in the front anyways.
Opening her eyes, Kate spots a girl walking towards the front. Wow, bold move kid, she thinks to herself, maybe they don't know about the front row policy. Hoping they're cool with being called on, she takes a deep breath, and crosses her fingers for a second.
The bell rang a few minutes later, the teacher stood and introduced himself as Mr. Turner, which meant the girl- Violet had just realized she didn't know her name- had definitely led her to the right class. She hoped she would be able to show her the next class she was supposed to be in. Or maybe she should try to figure it out on her own, she didn't really want to bother her again.
(I thought it was Ms.Turner until now and now all I can think of is Timmy Turner being the teacher.)
(What's the plot going to be about?)
(Wow it's been a while. I haven't been on as often as I would like. The plot is people go through their high school lives, eventually meeting the other characters. Maybe in detention, maybe not. It's still a work in progress, but if you are all okay with it, I'd like to add to this once or twice a week. Whichever is cool with you.)
