How about a sci-fi fantasy that turns more sinister and becomes more of a nightmare than a dream

The government has made body capsules that once inside, it lets one live there dreams.(<-like, everyone co-exists in the same "dream" world) It's literally a dream come true, but only until they realize that their nightmares travelled over with them, and they can't wake up.

Um, I have a general idea that I need ideas for. Help!

What do you need help with? :)

Deleted user

So basically it's a fantasy universe with vampyres and elves and gnomes and such, but my main story is about the city watch and fighting (medieval) crimes. There is magik but I haven't quite worked out a plot. Take note that most of the watch is made up of humans and my main character is a vampyre.

Okay, so you want some action n stuff to happen right? For some reason I'm sensing a mystery vibe, but that's up to you if you want that type of genre.
Can you give me more details and descriptions on what you want?

Deleted user

Minor mystery of who is stealing the cookies from the break room, mostly action and comedy. (I do comical fantasy, it's my style.)

Deleted user

The cookies are important. Don't forget the cookies.

Deleted user

😂 👌okay, keeping the cookies.

So you're going for a more light hearted plot, nothing to dark or serious and a subplot of who stole the cookies from the breakroom? 🍪 Sounds like my kinda book! 😆

Okay, hmmm… What about a rogue wizard-gone-necromancer who is raising the dead to steal the cookies from the break room everyday? (Jkjk 😂)

The last dragon is has escaped upon the town and is causing havoc. Many rogues and villains are after the precious creature, and its up to the watch to help find it. But the hardest part, except fighting off the criminals, is trying to catch the darn dragonling.

(Idk really know if these are good or nah, but it was all I could come up with at the moment! ~>_<~)

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

Could you help me? I've got a short story deadline coming up.
It's in the Sci-Fi genre, and I'm looking for something dark with some thriller vibes.
The location is a research ship deep in space, and I don't want crash-landing anywhere.
I can give more details if wanted.

Deleted user

The research ship has been travelling into the darkest depths of space. It was all going well until their companion ships started disappearing one by one in complete silence, no radio contact or anything.

They didn't know what was causing the disappearance until they heard sweet melodious voices ringing out into space. It was the long forgotten space sirens.

Deleted user

(How about they get lost in space? Like, an alien virus has messed with their ships motherboard. And so they have to navigate blind, while trying to break the sirens curse and find clues to get back home.)
(What if the sirens songs start infecting individual crew men's mindset? Basicly controlling them in a trance to destroy the ship or steer the ship towards the sirens (because the sirens eat human flesh). But no one knows if they are the ones controlled or not.)

(IDK 😂, ^ In just grasping at strings because I am not good with Sci Fi, sorry! (>_<)

FOR: @FireSky

1) It wasn't my fault I had to kidnap the prince. I had to save my dragon somehow.
(And adventure where the crown princess kidnaps the neighboring country's prince in retaliation of her dragon being held hostage by them. +adding in love interest whenever, lol)

-(But that's just my version of it! It is a prompt after all 😂)

2) "You don't strike me as a professional criminal."

The elf smiled at the persons statement.
"That's what makes me so good at it."

3) "What do you mean you accidentally pick-pocketed the court magician!?" The person screeched at their thieving friend.

"Woah, chill dude. It's just a wand."

4) Turns out people get offended and try to hunt you down when you TP their house, especially a certain witch. And I'm her son.

5) I took the egg because I thought I could use it to make an omelet… Turns out I have a very angry momma dragon after me now.

(I can give you more if these^ aren't really what you're looking for!)

Ellen

Give me a dark fantasy prompt with a (still dark) comic twist. Like Game of Thrones on laughing gas.

Deleted user

For: @Ellen

1) When you wish upon rare falling stars your wish is actually sent to a random fairy godmother/father, and it is up to them to grant it, no matter what.
It's all going well until someone wishes for the death of someone.
(There's murder in there, but you can add in funny wishes too!)

2) Every time a baby is born an animal/creature familiar appears soon after the birth, and it grows up along with the child. If the familiar is a weak creature, then the child will have to kill it at the age of (insert year) as a coming of age ritual.
Many children have familiars ranging from pegasuses to dogs. You however got a chicken…an ugly chicken… But what your parents don't know is that it can breath fire for some reason…. (but you can change it to any type of animal 🤷)

3) The narrator hates all the cliche characters in the original story and hates the entire story itself with a passion. He/she wants to sabotage the whole plot by killing the main characters and causing havoc in the lands.
After succeeding in killing off the main MC's, it's up to a beautiful witch, a very loud princess, a clumsy thief, and a fairy that likes to set things on fire to save the world and it's story by taking the MC'(s) places.
(^ prompt inspire by pinterest)

(I can give more if you want, since they weren't very dark… And I don't watch Game of Thrones 😓 >_<)

@StarkSpangledMayflower_Mad_Elder

(if you don't mind me inputting:
A princess that was trained as a kid to be an assassin and had her memory erased. after her 21st birthday, she regains her memory(you can choose how) and continue to kill of those subjects that refuse to be goverened by her)

@issavineslut

Okay so @"The.Anime.Addict.That.Was… " that's a really good prompt! but I'm not really feeling it. Do you have another idea? I'm sorry if i'm being picky and stuff so really do take your time!! it's no rush (and so like im also going to keep that prompt in my back pocket so thank you sm for that!) but anything else? (so sorry once again)

(No biggie)
Hmmm…. 🤔

(MC) has been living in a huge orphanage faculty runned by the government. It's safe and comfy, and it has a strong iron gate surrounding it for extra safety measures.
It wasn't until (MC) meets mysterious (love interest?) wandering in the most unlikely of place, confused and lacking memories, that it comes to (MCs') attention that the iron gates aren't to keep people from breaking in, but actually to keep them safe. (Or just to keep the orphans in for a mysterious reason…)

(Idk about this one, it kinda takes on a dark turn so let me know if you want another one, and please try to specify anything you want particularly in your story!)

that was really great!! thank you!!!!

Lydia Mosley

My character, Drea is currently running from the Keeper, a demon woman that had imprisoned her, and she just narrowly escaped. Right now she is running through the woods and I'm not sure how to go forward. Any ideas?
