I feel like we have metaphorical rocking chairs. Of all the time on Notebook, you're the only one I've met in person. Which was a fantastic decision. Whenever you're back in town, we gotta go back to that coffee shop.

Use an external hard drive if you can. It'll save you heartache later on if it happens again. Walmart has them for fairly cheap.
