Leo listened to all of them intently. Like Ciana, he didn't get out much but was that was due to something he had done in his past. Speaking of which, he looked over at Devon, "Have you guys visited the water kingdom yet?"
Ciana went up to Elias, quietly asking him "Are you colorblind? The vest… Is orange" she said, not sure if Elias had been joking.
To Leo, she said "We have not. Devon has been to the fire kingdom, where I met him, and the ice kingdom. And any kingdom he went to before, but I wasn't there for that."
"Where are we going after the Ice Kingdom, anyway?" Ginger asked. She was quite eager to get this particular leg of the journey over. Not only was she just generally not a fan of the cold climate, but the sharp dread gnawing at her insides was growing louder as they neared the Ice Palace.
"Water, its literally an island and the only way to it is a bridge with lots of security, so I will use the ice to make a bridge to sneak in the back entrance that Elias, for some reason, knows how to open" Devon glanced at the heir in question.
"I know it, because I uh… hang out with Fin a lot, hes like the second heir or something" Elias said with a smirk.
Leo frowned and fidgeted, "Oh are you and Fin close?" It had been a while since he had seen Fin. Maybe he had been replaced.
After all, Leo's parents had made sure he wasn't leaving the kingdom. Ever since he didn't come back because he was too busy with Fin.
Ciana watched this, feeling partial tension in the air. He did not mention it, but it was uncomfortable for her.
"Well, not so much friendly as like… intimitely" Elias shrugged, "the water royals dont leave thier kingdom like ever, paranoid bunch if you ask me."
Leo gave a sigh of relief and smiled at Elias, "Don't I know it. Kinda like the Earth Kingdom. We interact with other kingdoms but getting friendly with them is frowned upon. Especially with royals."
Leo looked forward to seeing Fin, though was a bit nervous how Fin would react when seeing him. But just the thought of seeing Fin put a pep in his step.
(you can skip me, ciana wouldn't interact at this point)
"I never really got to know Fin," Ginger mused. "I was always foolling around with others in my court, or messing with Eli." She grinned at Eli as she said this, remembering all the annual gatherings spent teasing and pranking him, before her parents decided she was too old to be engaging in such tomfoolery and began training her to be formal and proper, as an Heir should be.
Ciana tuned out the conversation. The other princlings were talking about social things. She had never experienced those before, so she had nothing to add.
"Im sure he wont be surprised to see me, the rest of you however, totally." Elias thought for a minute, "how many heirs have I not at least tried to sleep with?".
Devon scoffed and shook his head, "seriously?"
(well, he hinted at ciana.. does that count? And what heirs do we still need?)
Leo shook his head at Elias and giggled when he mentioned sleeping with heirs. Out of everyone, Elias seemed the most friendly and Leo liked that. "Fin and I go back….I mean it's been awhile but…"
"Well you haven't tried to bed me." Ginger told Elias. "Or at least, you haven't tried very hard. Lucky me!" She swiped a hand across her forehead in exaggerated relief.
Up ahead, she could see the rooftops and chimney smoke of what looked to be a town or small city. It definitely wasn't the capital, but it was hopefully the last stop before they did finally reach the castle. The thought of a bed and warm food put a little extra energy in Ginger's stride, but the knowledge that they were so close to the Ice Heirs weighed in her gut. "That's our next stop, right?" she pointed ahead, where the road icy dirt road had been churned to mud slush in front of the entrance to the town.
Ciana shrugged, now more bundled up than before. It had gotten considerably colder, and she had wrapped her scarf around her neck, ears, and most of her face.
"We can rest here, and start again in the morning, if we leave right after sun-up, we should get to the castle by noon" Devon said simply.
Leo shivered because of the icy wind but he wasn't that cold. Probably because he was able to adjust quickly to cold climates. His mother said it was something to do with finding the Earth's core and using it to heat oneself. He looked over at Ginger and smiled, "You ok?"
Ginger raised an eyebrow at him. "Yeah." she said, a bit gruffly. "Why do you ask?" She unconsciously leaned ever so slightly away from him. She hadn't been showing any outward signs of nervousness, had she? Ginger did a mental check of her posture, confirming that she was only a little tense in the shoulders but nothing more. "Why wouldn't I be okay?" She asked Leo.
(Ciana is completely zoned out. Until someone directly interacts with her, she won't respond)
(I hate to do this, but imma have to put this on hold. My mom has a brain tumor, and surgery isnt until april 4th, so shes at home with just me, and im not in the mindset to continue the rp rn, sorry 🙇)
(oh no! I hope she gets better!)
(Oh no, hope she gets better. I'll answer, just so I won't forget my thoughts, and then we can pause)
Leo had always been good at reading people. He just felt for them. Which didn't help him a whole lot. He just softly smiled at Ginger and held his hands up, "Woah, I didn't mean to offend you. I just thought you looked… nervous. Plus, I just guessed the Ice Kingdom wouldn't necessarily be the Fire Heiress's favorite place to go."
(a gentle, no-pressure boop)
(Casey, you just let us know when you are ready!)
(exactly! I was just pinging so the RP doesn't get totally lost yk)
(Oh right, well, moms home, doing ok, surgery went well, but now I have a cold or something 🙄 ill try again tomorrow)
(dont worry about it bro; love 'n' support from Ya'llabama!)
