Ciana looked at the crown of thorns on Leo's head, brow furrowing. "That's awful. You just… Have to live with that pain?"
Ciana looked at the crown of thorns on Leo's head, brow furrowing. "That's awful. You just… Have to live with that pain?"
Leo looked at her in confusion, "Well…yeah. Previous heirs usually used their healing magic to deal with the pain but I like to save that in case someone else gets hurt. Like with you." He smiles at Ciana, "Besides, you get use to the pain for the most part." Glancing back over at Elias and Devon in confusion. "I didn't know you could be with someone who didn't harness the same element as an heir…."
"Well, I'm and heir, and pansexual, so like, I dont give a fuck?" Elias laughed.
"We're not together-" Devon said as if it was supposed to be obvious, "he has just been following me around for months now-"
Leo smiled at Elias, he had never seen someone so carefree. "You look like fun." He looked at Ginger and Devon, both who looked like they might be in charge, "So why are all of you together? Heirs in one place doesn't usually happen I'm guessing, not that I get out much."
"Ever heard of the prophecy?" Elias asked, practically buzzing, and sparks dancing through his hair.
"Proving a point" Devon muttered, reffering to his father's plans to use him to control and br a tyrant over the other kingdoms.
"A prophecy? No. What does a prophecy have to do with all of this?" He notices Devon still looking rough and hesitantly kneels down in front of him, "Listen, I know you don't know me but please let me help. You look miserable. Even if I can't fully heal whatever's wrong, there's an advanced sort of healing magic that affects the brain. Basically you won't feel the pain that's actually there…"
Leo giggled and his eyes lit up as he looked at Elias, "Now doing this magic could cause serious side effects to me but you guys saved me and I owe you a favor." He looked at Ciana and Ginger, both looked like good people. Elias looked like he would be easy to get along with but Devon….he intrigued Leo.
Elias grinned and looped his arm with Devon's the taller male looking uncomfortable. He skipped behind Cimbaline. Elias was wearing dark green cargo shorts, and bright yellow t-shirt, and an orange sleeveless button up unbuttoned overtop. His bright colors a direct contrast to Devon's black outfit and mask.
(me looking back to find the prophecy and found Elias' outfit, which yes, he is still wearing-)
( prophecy … because I just came up with it :D)
(A royal born with no gifts of his own)
(shall comand the powers of others)
(to unite the kingdoms as one)
(under the high crown)(Most people dont know about it)
(AHA!!!)
Elias jumped up and recited the prophecy Devon had told him, "A royal born with no gifts of his own, shall command the powers of others, to unite the kingdom as one, under the high crown" He then pointed at Devon way to enthusiastically, "Thats him, the royal born with no gifts, like all dark kingdom heirs are, BUT, he has the ability to use other kingdom's powers, he just needs a source strong enough or he like exhausts himself, like right now"
"I did what you couldn't do, with your power" Devon rolled his eyes before turning to Leo. "My father wants to use me to become a tyrant, I decided I would rather rule with a council, and am looking for heirs from each kingdom to join said council and overthrow my power hungry father" He took the mask off his face with a sigh, Leo now able to see the scars that covered his face, scars he could thank his father for.

(HELP THE OUTFIT)
Leo's smile disappeared as Devon took off his mask. Without thinking, he reached out to touch one of them gently, thinking he could heal them. The words of his best friend came back to him. "Leo, one day trying to help someone is going to get you killed." The irony of that statement was his best friend was put to death the next week.
When he touched the scar, he yelped and jumped back. He felt like he got shocked. Weird. It hurts but he felt….more alive than any time he could remember. Leo looked up at Devon and hid his pain with a smile, "I want to help. How can I help?"
Devon flinched slightly when Leo touched his face, he wore the mask for a reason after all. "I am fine, just waiting for my energy to build back up, kind of overdid it when knocking out those guys-" Devon motioned to the kidnappers.
Leo looked over at the kidnappers and then back at Devon, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked you to save me." He stood up and looked at the group, "I am in your debt. How many I be of assistance?"
(so sorry again for the absence ive had some trouble logging on)
Ginger silently watched the exchange between the newcomer and her friends, trying to gauge him as a person. He seemed…sheltered, and harmless for the most part. At his offer of assistance, she looked to Devon. She thought of how he had sort of recruited her, but over the last week of travel up to this point she'd come to think of him as a friend, if not a very close or open one, instead of a shady business partner. "Do you need an Earth source?" she asked her masked companion now. "He could join us."
Ciana nodded. "He could, if he'd like. The talk of war is worrying… I'll see if I can contact my parents and warn them.."
"I need everysource, and if he wants to join us, thats fine, but we still need to get to the ice source, and the temperatures at it are below zero, I would have to figure out a plan a bit better, we still have about half a day walk to actually get to the damn castle" Devon said softly, standing up.
When Ciana talked about contacting her parents, Leo got a conflicted looked on his face. Technically, his parents didn't know where he was at right now. But as Devon said he could come along, he smiled. He looked at everyone with excitement, "I won't let you down! This is going to be so much fun."
Though as the others talked, he couldn't stop staring at Devon, he intrigued Leo. Looking down at his dark brown slacks and dark green button up shirt, he realized how different he was from the rest of them. He had no idea what out in the world while they all seemed…. like experts.
He winced as blood ran down his forehead from his crown and looked up, "I like walks. But this below zero temp seems concerning…"
Ginger was aggravatingly reminded that she would have to be in the Ice Kingdom and interact with the Heirs. "I guess we'll have to get you some warmer gear, Leo." She heaved a sigh. "I…should contact my parents too. They need to know of these murmurings of war."
Ciana nodded. "We'll stop at a tourist store when we get closer to the Capitol to pick up some warmer gear. We can all write to anyone we need to before heading out, first thing tomorrow?"
(whose turn is it😭)
(yours or Casey's)
"So today was a waste? We should have made it to the capitol by the days end, but those stupid thugs ruined it" Devon sighed and ran his hand down his face.
Leo tried not to seem hurt by the fact that Devon said today was a waste. He felt bad, was he being a burden? Readjusting his thorns so that they weren't causing him to bleed, he smiled softly at Ciana, "I will write to parents to tell them about the possibility of an upcoming war. Hopefully they aren't too mad that I ran away and won't send more guards after me."
"Send more guards?" Ginger raised an eyebrow. "Do you make a habit of running off and visiting other kingdoms?"
In her head, she was already thinking over the words she would use in her letter to her parents. She would have to be very tactful, considering she'd left the kingdom on a whim, and was currently on the outskirts of the Ice Kingdom. Her parents would definitely see that as a warning that something was wrong, like she'd been taken against her will or something.
Ciana stared at Leo. "Guards would be problematic. Make sure they don't come. I can only disguise one person at a time."
Elias shrugged and leaned against Devon, "might be a waste, but we wouldnt have saved Leo and gotten an earth heir on our side, so thats the bright side, right."
Devon nodded, "I suppose thats fair" He sighed, stepping away from Elias, causing the electric heir to almost fall. "I just dont like when the plan gets messed up" he muttered.
"Even the best laid plans can go awry," Ginger said to Devon. "Ok, so where do we go from here? Leo needs gear and I left my pack back in that inn." The whole mad dash to find and rescue Ciana seemed surreal now. And the bagel Ginger had wolfed down was beginning to burn off, leaving her a bit empty.
(Elias broughg everyones bags back already)
Leo blushed and shrugged, "I like seeing new sights….I'm not really allowed out much so I have to leave on my own." Seeing Ginger being hungry, he leaned down to the ground and concentrated. Suddenly, an apple tree shit up. He smiled and stood up but got dizzy so he fell.
